A Gathering of Saxophonist from around the world to learn from each other, share our experiences and where good saxophonist become better saxophonist.

Amigo Saxophone Quartet in collaboration with the Nontri Orchestra Wind bring to you the first Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy 2014 at the Chulabhornpisalsilp Building, Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand . For four full days on 16-19 March 2014, 40 saxophonists will be able to work closely with the faculty in a variety of settings including lessons, master classes, and ensembles. Faculty for APSA 2014 includes Joshua Hyde (Australia), Asagi Ito (Japan), Wong Tak Chiu (Hong Kong), Leslie Wong (NAFA, Singapore), Kenny Tsai (TNUA, Taiwan) and Dr. Michael Ibrahim (WVU, USA).

[05/17/19]   A very sincere congratulations to the following works for advancing to the final round of the Asia Pacific Saxophone Composition Competiton 2019. The finalist will be receiving a email shortly regarding their attendance in the final round, where their works will be performed by Joshua Hyde and Rasikamon Siyapong. Looking forward to hearing their music and thanks to the Jury for their hard work.

Composition Competition – Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy

Good news to all composers! The deadline for submissions for the APSA Composition Competition 2019 has been extended to 19th April 11.59pm (Thailand Time GMT+7). The winner of the competition will receive the Adolphe Sax Prize and have their music formally published, where it may be programmed as the set piece for the Asia Pacific Saxophone Competition 2021!

We are excited to have Toshikazu Nagase Sensei from Japan joining us this summer! He is the saxophone professor of Kurashiki Sakuyo University and the host of the 2021 World Saxophone Congress in Kurashiki, Japan.

APSA faculty concert performed the Amigo Saxophone Collective; Jazz faculty concert featured our great friend Ratthakhet Chuaisombun, faculty 'Mint' Passakorn Morasilpin and David Pope! Such an exciting night!! Thank you APSA Jazz Band and director Jeng Watchara Atchariyavaranon!
