SURFside Ocean Academy is looking for professional day babysitters/nannies to join their Team for the upcoming season. Candidates should be 16 years and up, have experience with children, provide exceptional guest service and love working with kiddies & being outside. We provide first aid & water safety training. We are mostly busy during the typical holiday seasons. Pay is great and tips are usually generous too. We are partnered with most luxury hotels and Villas in Providenciales and currently have a team with over 30 skilled caregivers, but will need daytime sitters more than ever this season. Being a swimmer is a plus, but we can provide FREE training for that too. This is not a full time position but rather contractual based on the demand of our guests. Fall swim session starts in 2 weeks!

SURFside is TCI's Affiliate with Ontario Lifesaving Society. As such, we deliver an immense amount of year round aquatic and lifesaving programming and certifications to the Turks & Caicos communities, schools and corporations.

Last month, we led a super successful Bronze Medallion lifesaving certification for 14 staff in Grand Turk from . This is now our 2nd time training this powerful and dynamic watersports team in first aid and water safety.

Judgement, knowledge, skill and fitness are all challenged in this 15 hour course. Also included are:

-self-rescue
-swimming & lifesaving strokes
-victim recognition
-entries & removals
-defenses & releases
-tows & carries
-search & recovery
-drowning resuscitation
-rescues
-400 m swim in under 12 mins (😬)

We are so grateful for these lifesaving training opportunities, and proud of the successful candidates that worked so hard for their medals.
