Today we started "the homework hour." We had a good group show up to get help with homework and to study together and get help with problematic areas. Thanks so so much to one of our parents who hopped on board to be of assistance, with Math problems and then a study and testing segment. Anyone from the community who would like to help please let me know, together we can help them achieve.

Some videos from reading week. I personally enjoyed the dramatization. πŸ˜πŸ‘.

This week (Monday - Wednesday) was Reading Week at our school, under the theme: "Read To Succeed" since it was just three days the focus/goal was to heighten students' interest in reading and their interaction with print, work cooperatively with each other, to bring out their creativity thru role playing and dramatizing and to be able to report on what they have read. Activities for the 3 days included: 1) paired reading where the older more mature readers guided the younger baby readers in reading the details of a book of their choice. Younger readers read either print or picture, while the older reader read the story with them, asking for key details and modelling reading. Day 2) Pairs met to reread their stories and planned a sharing session where they orally summarized their stories. Even the smallest child was able to recall details of the stories as well as make inferences. Day 3) Stories were dramatized which proved to be much fun.😁 The culminating activity was to write book reports on the book/story read with their partners. Good job guys. πŸ‘

Hello all. This is the first post on our page since the start of this academic year. We got off to a very uncertain and turbulant start, but with God ALL things are possible. Since September we have had a great time with, 1. Ms Nichole Gardiner during the Youth devotional exercise, 2. with our DC and other civil servants during the CS give back on Middle Caicos, 3. Ms David (EO) during a presentation on cleaning and sanitizing in the work place, 4. HE the Governor of the TCI during his visit to Middle Caicos, 5. With Mrs Cecelia Forbes during the International Day of the Girl Child, 6. With Ms Brendalee Harvey and her students during the Week of the young child, which our babies enjoyed. More to come. See some highlights of the above mentioned activities.
