Journey of the Heart' Where Happiness Lives, A journey that reminds me of how far I have come, one that reminds me of how happy we were growing up as a child in kabala, without no Phone, no television, no electricty, irespective of how hard life was on us, yet, happiness strive through, a journey I once live in, which majority of us can resonate with.
Over the past month's, Having toured in every district, every chiefdom, these are memories I will cherish for ever and ever.
The change we strive for, the work we engage in, is more than service; it is an awakening.
But what has truly broken and changed me is to witness the boundless joy of those who have nothing and yet they have everything.
No electricity. No clean water. No roads. No hospitals. No supermarkets, no flashing screens, no distractions just life etc. And yet, they laugh, They play. They dance etc.
They gather under the stars and tell stories that have outlived generations. Their happiness isn’t borrowed or bought, it’s woven into their spirits, a fire that no hardship can extinguish.
I know you might ask how?
Because they understand a truth so many of us have forgotten.
Happiness is not a gift the world gives you, it’s a choice you make, a light you refuse to let go dark.
This journey has humbled me, It has broken me open and reminds me a lot about the past.
Because if they can smile through struggle, if they can find joy in the midst of lack, then what excuse do the rest of us have? How dare we let small problems steal our gratitude? How dare we wait for "perfect" before we allow ourselves to be happy?
Life will hit us hard.
It will knock us down, test us, leave us aching. But in those moments, remember the children who play in the dust with nothing but imagination.
Remember the elders who sing despite their pain. Remember the mothers who share their last meal with a smile.
They are proof that happiness is not about what you have, it’s about what you choose to see, to feel, to hold onto etc.
So today, I ask you? Where will you plant your joy? In circumstances you can’t control? Or in the unshakable belief that even in the darkest night, you can still find a reason to laugh, to love, to rise?
The people I’ve met have taught me that happiness isn’t a destination it’s the courage to dance through the storm. And if they can do it, so can we.
Keep going. Keep shining. And no matter what choose happiness always.

This morning, I came across a foreign news segment on Facebook where one of the commenter's questioned whether Sierra Leone’s State House is a Prison.
The remark was deeply disheartening, not only because it undermined our national pride but also because, upon reflection, it highlighted a painful truth: our infrastructure and public institutions—whether prisons, hospitals, or government facilities remain far behind global standards.
Sierra Leone is a nation with immense potential, yet we continue to lag decades behind the rest of the world in development. While other nations have progressed from industrialization to the digital age and now artificial intelligence, we must ask ourselves: WHERE DO WE STAND AS A COUNTRY?
Our leaders, past and present, must be held accountable. From the late 1950s to today, what tangible progress can we proudly point to which no other country in West Africa can boast of?
Are those we champion and defend truly deserving of our unwavering support? The politician that you want to risk your life for either him being a presidential aspirant or His excellency the President, is he worth it?
Consider China’s remarkable transformation over just 30 years—rising from adversity to become a leading global economy. They faced immense challenges, yet unity, vision, and disciplined leadership propelled them forward. Sierra Leone has endured its own trials—civil war, natural disasters, health crises—but these cannot forever excuse our lack of progress. If others can achieve greatness through resilience and collective effort, so can we—but only if we abandon greed, division, and complacency.
Our nation’s struggles stem from a fundamental issue: a lack of unity and shared purpose. Instead of competing with the world, we compete among ourselves—tribally, politically, and personally. This divisiveness stifles progress. True development requires patriotism, selflessness, and a collective hunger for growth.
It is time to shift our mindset. We must demand better leadership, hold ourselves accountable, and work together to rebuild Sierra Leone. Let us foster a spirit of national pride, where love for country outweighs personal gain. Only then can we rise above our challenges and claim our rightful place among progressive nations.
The question is no longer what has gone wrongbut what are we willing to do to make it right?
The future of Sierra Leone depends on our choices today. Let us choose unity, progress, and unwavering determination to build the nation we deserve.
Together, we can—and must—do better.

Someone asked me this question’, He said’ Ambassador, when are you coming back home (KABALA)?
I said to him that I will be coming back to KABALA the same way the late President Ahmed Tejan Kabba did back in 2003, he was like how? I said via an helicopter 🚁 😂

On the 27th, November 2024. The National Commission for Democracy Marked it’s 30yrs Anniversary at the Ministry of Foreign Affàirs Academy.
I was invited by the commission to give a statement on youth in democracy on behalf of every young person in Sierra Leone.
The commission has played a pivotal role towards the democratic process in Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 since its inception in 1994.
Our democratic status have been put to test and has faced numerous Challenges over the years, Young people are in the center amidst all the struggle and triumph.
However, the journey toward meaningful youth participation in democracy is not without obstacles. Many of us have encountered barriers that stifle our voices—political apathy, lack of access to opportunities or information, and a perception that our opinions do not matter. This must change.
I urge each of you—young and old—to recognize the power of youth in democracy. Let us stand together to create a Sierra Leone where every young person has the opportunity to thrive, where our voices are heard, and where our dreams are realized. Together, we can shape a brighter future for our country, one where democracy is not just a concept, but a living reality for all.
