Our Erasmus+ student Matej decided to work from the distance because of his early return home from the mobility in Ireland. He prepared a typical Slovenian spring dish. It looks delicious!

ZERO WASTE through Ana's eyes

New teaching, learning and assessment methods developed for distance learning during the COVID crisis proved to enhance students' motivation, inspiration and creativity. Our student Ana Horvat chose the zero waste topic for her video presentation in English.

Erasmus+ student Tinkara has returned from mobility in Ireland earlier too. She prepared cottage cheese rolled dumplings in order to present one of the typical Slovenian dishes and to continue mobility activities from home. She collaborates with her mentor in Ireland with the help of tehnology.

Jerneja Hrastnik, our Erasmus+ participant, returned home from mobility in Ireland much earlier. Now she is collaborating with her mentor in Dungarvan from home. She made Blejske kremne rezine, a typical slovenian desert and she also shared her recipe with her mentor so that he can try to make it too. She promotes the traditional Slovenian pastry in her own unique way. Enjoy.

How do you make a bread at home? Katja, our Erasmus+ participant, who returned from Ireland much earlier, is trying to teach her mentor from Dungarvan how to bake typical Slovenian bread.

Our Erasmus+ student Andraž returned from mobility in Ireland much earlier, too. But he tries to keep in contact with his mentor at Cliff House Hotel in Dungarvan. He prepared Fish with mushy peas and Fish pie at home on mentor's recipe 👍.

Tinkara is one of our Erasmus+ participant who has returned back home from a mobility in Ireland after two weeks. She tries to be connected with her host company Cliff House Hotel so she prepared the meal based on their suggestion. Her mentor was absolutely fascinated 😊.

Romana Padovnik Rajšter, the member of the Zero Waste project team at SŠGT Celje, took part in the 3-day international virtual conference "Ecology for a better tomorrow" and presented our Zero Waste Power project to more than 150 participating authors from Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Italy, Russia, Serbia, Hungary and USA.

Our Erasmus+ students are enjoying in winter activities in Jyväskylä. Their positive energy is coming from beautiful finnish nature.

Another group of our Erasmus+ participants is on mobility in Finland to get a unique winter experience.

Our group of Erasmus+ students arrived safely in Dublin. They will stay for 3 months to attend professional training in Dungarvan.

Secondary Vocational School for Gastronomy and Tourism Celje is taking part in very interesting E+ project Tourism4Careers. We invite you to read our second newsletter and familiarize yourself with our progress. The project ends in September 2020, when participating countries tourism sectors, employment opportunities and much more will be presented on a web portal.

ENTREPRENEURIAL INCUBATOR LAUNCHED- A new activity called Entrepreneurial incubator started today ar SŠGT Celje as one of the results of the Erasmus+ staff mobility. Students met representatives of 5 Slovenian top employers in HoReCa sector, who presented diverse business challenges to them to inspire their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. We will report about the best ideas/solutions selected in May 2020.

It is a time to say goodbye to French students. They are leaving our country satisfied amd impressed 😊.

V petek smo na naši šoli s proslavo Prešeren je v zraku počastili slovenski kulturni praznik. Prešeren je, kot ugotavlja E. Johnson Debeljak, za Slovence tako pomemben kot zrak, ki ga dihamo. Tako smo torej vdihovali modre, rimane, prenesene – pa tudi navadne besede. Pesem o Sloveniji je zapela Anja Luc, dijakinja 1. b, Maj Zimšek (4. a) pa je »po naročilu« za to priložnost spesnil pesem o Prešernu. Dogodek so pripravili dijaki 1. b.

Today was a perfect day for exploring Celje. Our teacher Mojca prepared a wonderful excursion for the group of French students on mobility. They enjoyed their delicous lunch at Gostilna pri Kmetec, too 👍.

Our school is every day more international - students today hosted two ladies (one from France and the other our native speker from Kenia) at cooking lessons. All of them were enjoying very much 😊.

Erasmus+ students from France are exploring our capital city. Their lunch was typicall Slovenian - from Prekmurje, called "bograč". Njami 😋.

Our teacher Urška prepared an interesing workshop for the Erasmus+ participants from France: they learned how to make lavender soap. They enjoyed very much 👍🔝.

Job shadowing - great experience. The F&B, housekeeping, reception, sales department hotel Slon Ljubljana - thank you all for the great experience.

And the last activity in Brusseles: the Plenary session 👍.

Today I'm attending at very interesting breakout sessions where we get a lot of information about future activities in VET.

Francija je polna naravnih lepot in kulturne dediščine. Vemo tudi, da so Francozi gurmani. In vendar so prišli k nam, da se z mobilnostjo v Erasmus+ seznanijo z našo domovino, lepoto narave in gostoljubnostjo ljudi, ki jo nudimo vsakemu gostu, ki nas obišče. Pridobili bodo tudi nove strokovne veščine. Danes pa so jih vodniki naše šole popeljali po svojem hramu učenosti in jim predstavili naše knežje mesto. :)
