Why Choose E.S.I KIDS Curriculum?

The E.S.I. KIDS Curriculum is the core curriculum and product of Seagal Education Consultants Pte Ltd, Singapore.

We have assisted schools in Southeast Asia and Australia for the past 20 years to better understand how important Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is and what methods can be used to improve their own students’ emotional and social growth. It is from all these acquired and tested experience and practice that our methodology called E.S.I KIDS is created from. This system is intended for schools/institutions that are concerned with the balance between IQ, SQ and EQ of their students.

We offer schools our complete syllabus consisting of:
Teacher Guidebooks,
Student & Teacher Resource Books,
Student Activity Books,
Readers books called E.S.I KIDS Readers
Online teaching modules

We intend to help schools answer the question “How emotionally intelligent are the students, the parents and teachers in the well-being and academic success of the children in school and at home?”.

The stressors of the pandemic on preschool teachers/educators could result in them having a lack of a growth mindset as they are now tasked to ensure that their students “catch up” on the last two years academically.

Despite teachers being pushed out of their “comfort zones” during the pandemic towards more creative teaching and learning approaches in online classrooms, the reality in ensuring each student is well prepared academically could result in them falling back into their “fixed mindsets”.

The importance of having a growth mindset in teaching will allow preschool teachers/educators to shift their attitudes when students are slow and weak as well as facilitate joy and happiness with their students in the learning.

A growth mindset supports positive emotional well being allowing teachers to better cope with their daily stressors in and outside the classroom as well as nurture their students emotional well being.

Here's what Ms Divya says about the importance of SEL and a Growth Mindset.

We are ESI KIDS empower schools, teachers, students and their parents to "think, feel and learn" through our education system of teacher guide books, activity books, resource books and our Reader Books.

Safe and Unsafe things:

A healthy and safe environment is crucial for the physical and mental well-being of students at home and school. An unsafe and insecure environment on the other hand harms the health and psyche of the children and limits the growth, development, and learning of the students as they are unable to focus on learning the skills needed for a successful education and future.

Research continues to illustrate children who feel unsafe at school perform worse academically and are more at risk of getting involved in drugs and delinquency. Ensuring safety at home and school provides the children with a sense of security and protection against anything and anyone that is potentially harmful ranging from dangerous objects and equipment to violent, unethical, and immoral behaviour and exposure thus contributing to providing them a better learning environment.

ESI KIDS Readers are series that addresses all the issues that children face during the early years at school. Therefore, the readers provide solutions by guiding parents and teachers in interaction skills with the children/ students tackling these issues from bullying and violence to overcoming harassment and from safety online and offline to making friends, learning to speak up and identifying dangerous situations.

‘Safe and Unsafe Things’ for instance emphasises aspects of safety from a material or equipment perspective. Students explore, learn and develop an awareness that without adult guidance and supervision may lead them to dangerous situations. The illustrations and activities in the book help students to identify safe and unsafe things. They learn to differentiate between safe and unsafe things and are thus more aware and secure.

ESI KIDS Readers contain learning content for teachers and parents as well and prepares them according to 21st-century century teaching skills where they interact with each other and move together for a better learning experience for the child.

Pamela Seagal, founder of the ESI KIDS curriculum as well as the writer of the ESI KIDS Reader book series will be meeting publishers interested in buying the foreign rights of the series at the Frankfurt Book fair from 19th to 23rd October.
