Welcome to Term 2

Tomorrow Monday 13th is the start of Term 2 of the National academic calendar, and the School wishes to warmly welcome all students back to class starting with the usual Monday assembly at 8am.

Just a kind reminder to Parents and guardians, ensure your children are groomed properly,i.e must have a nice student haircut for males and must be in full proper School uniform including shoes and socks.

On that note, it has come to the attention of the school that some students only have one pair of uniforms and only one pair of shoes which are in breach of the registration guidelines. As a result of this( having only one pair of uniforms and shoes) some students have the unnecessary excuse of not dressing in full uniform because of laundry issues( uniform or shoe washed and failed to dry on time).

Therefore, the School wish to strongly advise our good parents/guardians to purchase another pair of uniform and pair of shoes for your children who do not currently have the full set of uniform at the moment.

Apologies to Parents/Guardians

We wish to take this opportunity to sincerely apologise to every parents/guardians who came to the school today for the Parent and Teachers interview but found out that their children's teachers were not available for that important School event.

We will strive as much as possible to ensure that this is not repeated in the near future without any prior notification, for reasons which are genuine in nature.

In the meantime, school leaders will work closely with the teachers concerned to try and organise an alternative Parents and Teachers interview arrangement, for the affected parents and guardians concerned.

Parents and Guardians are strongly encouraged to attend to see how your children are performing academically as well as in terms of character and behavioural management.

NEW HOPE ACADEMY WILL BEGIN CLASSES ON THE 26th OF JANUARY 2026

To all Parents/Guardians

New Hope Academy will commence classes on the 26th of January 2026 for all registered students, in accordance with the Ministry of Education announced date to start classes.

For new or continuing students who are yet to be registered, they are not allowed to attend classes until they are formally registered.

Late registration will continue this week at Kukum, Peace Embassy building- location between meat lovers and Guadalcanal Provincial building.

CONGRATULATIONS, New Hope Academy has a 96 percent placement rate for year 10 this year. For your information , last year was the first year that New Hope Academy offered year 9 classes. Out of the 23 students who sat for the Solomon Islands year 9 exams last year, only one was officially unplaced. The challenge last year was that there was no Maths teacher which unfortunately have some bearing on the performance of the students. Hope for more improvement this year.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

Enrollment for new ECE students, Year 1 Blue and Year 7(Form one) students for 2026 is now open from 1st to 20th December.

Registration 2026 for other continuing students
will begin on 7th to 16th January 2026.

Kindly see the Education Office at Peace Embassy next to the ECE Center for payment of required fees.
