Please Pray for Damien School

For the past 7 years, Damien School has been struggling to stand on its feet in West Fataleka. I've carried this mission with hope, tears, and faith—fighting to keep the light of education burning for our children.

In 2023, we had to move from our first location due to serious security issues. It broke my heart when the parents pleaded with us to stay, but I made the painful decision to move, thinking it was best for everyone.

But the new location has been even harder. Just yesterday, as I was returning from meeting a new landowner—who kindly offered us land and showed us his documents—I was met with some of the most emotional moments I’ve experienced in all these years.

On that same trip back, I passed by some of our former students now attending another school. One child saw me, looked away, and quickly covered his face. We stopped to drop someone off, and another student from my class turned away sorrowfully. My heart broke. I gave him a $10 note—it took him a while before he quietly came to take it.

Then I was told the current landowner of our struggling site had come by to visit while I was away—responding to the request from this new landowner. He, too, asked if we could give it one more try. And I stood, torn between two places, two hopes, and countless broken hearts.

Today, we will break the news to the community. I do not know how to face them.

Our teachers looked at me and asked, "What’s next?" But I had no words. I stood at a crossroads, carrying the weight of the most painful decision in all my years of service.

God help us. We need strength. We need wisdom. We need your prayers.

Please—pray for Damien School. Pray for our children. Pray for our teachers who are still standing, even when everything else seems to be falling apart.

Damien sda primary school will close down its academic classes on the 28th November 2024.
I would like to thank every body who helped in one way or the other to keep the school on its feet.

Damien school is ready to come alive today with the Dorcas Federation beginning tomorrow

Damien school children's choir singing at Taeloa SDA church on Sabbath.
Most children don't turn up due to lack of proper worship clothing.
Some even don't attend school due to the same.
Dorcas Federation is targeting this dilemma in their October 5-7 th program.
Please assist our ladies as they carry out their program at the school

North West district Federation of the SDA church is planning to host this year's Federation at Damien school and kindly ask for kin assistance to support the Dorcas in their by ways and highway.
Clothing, cooking utensils and any foods and laundry items will be greatly appreciated.
The school is located in a non SDA community and is a very challenging environment for the church to work in establishing our presence here.
We look forward to any assistance to support the Dorcas Federation in October this year.

Damien school is still going forward despite having challenging environment and situation tempting to close the door of opportunity to the kids here in this remote area.God is great nothing is going to sway us away.
