Al Abrar International Learning Center focuses on…

Developmentally appropriate early childhood classrooms that demonstrate, among other important characteristics, maximum interaction among children as they pursue a variety of independent and small group tasks.

The teacher prepares the environment with challenging and interesting materials and activities and then steps back to observe, encourage, and deepen children’s use of them.

In Al Abrar classrooms:
Children select their own activities from among a variety of learning areas that the teacher prepares, including reading, dramatic play, games and puzzles, art, blocks.

Children are provided concrete learning activities involving materials and people relevant to their own life experience.

Children work individually or in small, informal groups most of the time.
