Father Prof. Fidèle Dushimimana, Vice Chancellor of ICK had the honor of meeting His Holiness Pope Francis in Vatican City today while participating in the conference launching the celebrations of the centenary of the International Federation of Catholic Universities.

The Pontiff's speech to Catholic Universities' leaders at the conference emphasized the importance of cooperation through networking, urging them to be instruments of reconciliation and champions for the growth of peace and charity among peoples.

On the occasion of the launch of the celebrations of the centenary of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU), Father Prof. Fidèle DUSHIMIMANA, Vice Chancellor of ICK is participating in the Conference "The university and the Church: the future of the Catholic University" in Vatican City. Participants will have the honor of being received by His Holiness Pope Francis.

Founded in 1924 and recognized by decree by the authorities of the Congregation for Catholic Education in 1948 and by Pope Pius XII in 1949, the International Federation of Catholic Universities today counts over 240 affiliated universities on every continent.

November 29, 2023: The Vice Chancellor of ICK, Father Prof. Fidèle DUSHIMIMANA, along with Father Prof. Aimable MUSONI, a professor at the Pontifical Salesian University, met Reverend Prof. Andrea BOZZOLO, the Rector of the same University to explore potential partnerships and collaborations between the two universities.

Today, Father Prof. Fidèle DUSHIMIMANA, Vice-Chancellor of ICK, met Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, Prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education in Vatican City, where he is participating in the conference.

The Vice Chancellor of ICK, Father Prof. DUSHIMIMANA Fidèle, is currently attending the Conference on Pastoral Care in Catholic Universities in Vatican City from November 23-24, 2023. The event is organized by the Dicastery for Culture and Education.
