Я прожил в США 25 лет, у меня два высших образования полу I am a native English speaker who resided in the United States for 25 years. We can do that. No problem.
I am a Cambridge University certified English language teacher and I have my Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). My parents moved the family to the United States when I was only eight years old. I returned in November of 2014 and have lived in Moscow ever since. I love everything about Moscow, I feel right at home here, despite the fact that I have not been here since the 1
980s. At Moscow Business School, I taught four classes per week, including webinars. I have experience working with various age groups. Since arriving in Moscow over three years ago, I have tutored dozens of students. Some of my students included top executives at major Russian corporations, college students preparing to enter a foreign university, and even the son of a prominent diplomat. I taught at two centers for kids, and I also facilitated an English language speaking group through a Moscow language club. In two years, I have taught and tutored many students here in Moscow. I even prepared several students for their IELTS, TOEFL, and CPE exams. As a result of scoring well, some of the students are now studying at universities in the US, Britain, and Canada. While living in the United States, I volunteered some of my time to tutor adolescents. I helped the youngsters improve their English reading skills. I even volunteered as an aide at a local community college in Washington State. As a native English speaker, I have the ability to speak English fluently, without an accent. Although I prefer to use the communicative approach, which involves using English 100% of the time, I also speak Russian, which is quite helpful to my elementary level students. I have two college degrees; both earned at accredited colleges in the United States. My first degree is from Renton Technical College, where I studied Computer Science. My second degree was earned at WWCC, where I acquired a degree in Applied Arts. For my Applied Arts degree, I studied a variety of topics, including English Composition, English Literature, Philosophy, Developmental Psychology, Bookkeeping, and Business. I also graduated from the Business Career Training Institute. Last but not least, I studied for and earned a CELTA at the British Institute. I use a variety of teaching methods but I have a strong preference for the communicative approach. During our first lesson, I'll make a determination of your needs and then begin developing a custom English tutoring program that will help you improve your English skills. Want to improve your diplomatic language and negotiation skills for international business? Want to do some test prep so that you can get into a good university overseas? In fact, I haven't had a student that has failed to hit his or her target score. Want to simply improve your English skills so that you can communicate with people in day-to-day life? I have a perfect program just for that.
