Have you heard of VUCA ? It is an an acronym, first used in 1987 by Warren Bennis and Burt Nanus while developing leadership theories, to describe or to reflect the:
Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity,
- of general conditions and situations.
We have been living in this environment for some time now, and Covid 19 pandemic only accelerated the awareness of it as the pace of change is increasing daily and steadily.
We have changed the way we live, love, parent and work… therefore, the way we are making decisions.
What does it mean to live in a VUCA environment ?
1 - Volatility: scares people due to the pace of change.
2 - Uncertainty: in spite of being neutral, generates fear, which hinders planning and action.
3 - Complexity: complicated and unpredictable, make us uneasy and uncomfortable;
4 - Ambiguity: allows several ways out … which algo generates uncertainty and fear.
What are you ready to do to make your life and the ones around you easier and more productive, while living in this VUCA environment which won’t disappear ?
We have to live in it, with flexibility and agility to adapt to the pace of change.

Back to basics of the communication: Listen - Ask - Conclude
Listen to your interlocutor ! It seems so simple, so easy, so basic, and at the same time it is not easy to do it. People try to answer or give a solution without listening.
We forget that by listening carefully when someone speaks, we're telling them that we care about what they're saying, we care about them, we are really present to help.
Personally I consider this step like the foundations of a building !!!
If you are not a good listener, don't worry, you we can learn to be better listener by practicing. The more you do it, the better you get at it, and the more positive your interpersonal relationships will be........................
Asking questions is the key to business success because questioning is an important component of the teaching/learning process and is embedded in quality instruction and strategic thinking.
Questions are used to teach as well as to assess the interlocutor's understanding, and thus questioning plays a critical role in the overall success of the verbal communication.
There are five key questions that we can ask in order to analyze an argument:
1 - What are the issue and the conclusion?
2- What are the reasons?
3- What are the assumptions?
4- Are there any fallacies in the reasoning?
5- How good is the evidence?
Some deep thought-provoking questions:
A: What should be your company's mission, vision and goals ?
B: Should everyone in your company be striving toward a common goal? If so, what would that be?
C: Can you think of something that everyone could agree on, despite the chaotic world we live in?
In business asking questions is important: It helps you uncover the challenges you're facing and generate better solutions to solve those problems. ... If you're asking a question, you're not rushing in to provide the answer, give the solution, or take on the challenge.
I hope I've encouraged you to see that there's far more can be gained than lost from asking questions. ..................
Why is a conclusion important, even in verbal communication ?
It provides closure for the interlocutor while reminding him of the contents and importance of the subject or issue discussed.
In other words, it is reminding the interlocutor of the main argument.
Your conclusion is delivered at the end of the speech and is often what most people remember immediately after your speech has ended.

Is there any question for me ? Feel free to ask me :-)
The quote of today, is about a way of living :-) If every small action we take every day is done correctly, the big picture we create at the end is what we dreamed in the beginning. Have a good day my friends.
