Congratulations to Tristan. She is continuing in the arts at Roosevelt University in Musical Theatre!

Tristan Smith
Roosevelt University, Chicago College of Performing Arts in Chicago, Illinois
Major: Musical Theatre

Tristan is so excited to be attending Roosevelt University, Chicago College of Performing Arts to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre! Tristan has been performing on stage since she was five years old, where she played Gretl in The Sound of Music. Some of her favorite roles she's played since then include Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins, and Janet van de Graaf in The Drowsy Chaperone. One of her favorite theatre memories was when she attended the Junior Theater Festival West with Musical Mayhem Productions. Their group won Outstanding Production two years in a row, making unforgettable memories with their theatre family. The immense love and support from thousands of thespians and the overwhelming passion for the arts at the Festival helped make Tristan realize that Musical Theatre was her calling. Throughout Tristan's life, she has taken several years of dance, vocal, and acting lessons at Musical Mayhem Productions, Elite Studio of Dance, Deane Dance Center, Maureen Mette's Voice Studio, and so on. At St. Francis, Tristan has been involved in Show Choir, Apprentice Dance Company, SF Players, and the musical productions. She would not be where she is today without all of her instructors outside of school, as well as at St. Francis. Tristan thanks her parents for always supporting her and her dreams, and especially her brother, Declan, for inspiring her to pursue Musical Theatre as a career. She is so grateful for such a wonderful support system of family, friends, and teachers. Tristan is overjoyed to take her training to the next level in college, and grow into the artist she is meant to be!
