Quiz competitions are used in education to measure growth in knowledge, abilities, and skills. They aim to enhance the interest of the students towards the subject and help them revise the taught concepts.
As a part of extended learning, "Mathemania", a Maths Quiz competition has been designed to encourage students to look beyond their textual knowledge and challenge them to use their math skills in new and creative ways. It will hopefully provide a challenging and engaging mathematical experience that is both competitive and educational.

The Upper Primary School will conduct the First Round of ‘English Spelling Bee’ for Classes 3-5. This is going to be an Intra Section Round. All the students are invited to participate as it is a great opportunity for them to improve their spelling. So gear up for the 1st round which will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. The winners of 1st round will qualify for the 2nd Round.

The transition from school to college is a very significant step in the academic journey of a student.
In order to familiarise students to A levels Programme, an Orientation Session was organised by BCP Johar Town on Monday 30th January 2023.
Our O levels out going batch learnt about campus life at BCP JT, they asked questions they had in mind, and met the administration, representatives of the faculty and Career Counsellors. The guests shared their campus achievements, highlighted the dynamic potential avenues available and the varied range of subjects they offer. Students of BCP JT talked about their experience highlighting unique aspects of the college like peer support club, complete student autonomy etc. Brochures were distributed among students at the end.
Overall it was a good opportunity for BVTL outgoing batch to get familiarised with A level programme at BCP JT.

Mathematika Round 2 will be held tomorrow for Classes 6 till 8.

Students of Kindergarten Green presented an assembly on 'Transportation'. They spoke about the modes of transportation and asked interesting riddles. The active participation of students in the audience showed how much they enjoyed it. Students presented a choir performance at the end. The principal, Ms Semee Shafqat asked a few questions about the topic and also took a group photo to make it more memorable. The presentation was appreciated and applauded by the parents. Their positive feedback was very encouraging for the students and the faculty. Fantastic performance, KG Green!

Human rights are inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, gender, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other status. Human rights include the right to life and liberty, freedom from slavery and torture, freedom of opinion and expression and the right to work and education. To create awareness about the importance of human rights Class 3 Green students presented a morning assembly that focused on this topic. They recited meaningful poetry, delivered inspiring speeches, and presented a mime. The students also sang a melodious song and enacted role plays to create awareness about valuing human rights. Their efforts were highly appreciated by their parents and the School Head, Ms Semee Shafqat. Our empathetic Beaconites give us hope for a future with a more tolerant and kinder society.

It gives us immense pleasure to announce that Anna Mansoor of Class 5 Red made us proud and brought laurels to the Upper Primary Section. She participated in the Inter school Declamation Contest organized by Crescent Model Higher Secondary School, Lahore, delivered a speech on the topic ‘Yeh Baat Sach hai kay mera baap kam nahi hai meri maan se’ and got First Position out of 16 schools which participated in the contest. She was awarded a shield and certificate. Well done, Anna! Congratulations on this fantastic achievement.

We are pleased to announce that Raima Umair of Class 5 Red participated in the Inter school Declamation Contest organized by Crescent Model Higher Secondary School, Lahore. She delivered a speech on the topic ‘If I had three wishes they would be.. ’ and represented Beaconhouse Valencia in the English category. She received a participation certificate. Excellent job, Raima!

We are pleased to announce that our student Haider Ali from Class 8 Blue, secured 1st Position in the Arm Wrestling, Under 15 category at Sports Enthusia at Canal Side Boys Campus. Well, Done Haider!

A Bifurcation Orientation Session for Class 8 was conducted by the Principal Ms. Semee Shafqat. Students were informed about the difference between the two streams i.e. Matric and O Level. Subjects offered in both streams were discussed. It was quite an interactive session where students’ queries were answered by Ms. Semee.

With immense pride we would like to share that Ahmad Ali 10C Green has won the Special Prize at the Regeneron National Science & Engineering Fair. Congratulations Ahmad!

This year a total of 436 science projects were presented from all across Pakistan. After 4 very competitive rounds, once again, two innovative projects by Beaconhouse Valencia students qualified for the National Final of the Regeneron National Science & Engineering Fair 2023 held from 24-25th January 2023 at MITE institute Karachi.

Ahmad Ali 10C G presented his project "Reprocessing Sustainable Construction Material" in the category of Physical Sciences and won the Special Prize awarded by the Scientific Review Committee.

We take immense pride in sharing our Gold and Bronze Medal winners of the 19th International Kangaroo Linguistics Contest (IKLC) 2022.
Congratulations to all the winners!

At a recently held ceremony, the Regional Director presented the RD's Excellence Award to our Principal. The award represents the excellence reflected by the students, teachers and school leadership team because a leader is only as good as their team. We congratulate Ms Semee Shafqat and hope that Beaconhouse Valencia continues to add value to the lives of our students and teachers and remains the preferred school of the community.

A morning assembly on "Say No To Bullying" was held by Class 2 Blue students in order to spot bullying and to spread knowledge of the steps students may take to prevent it. Students discussed several forms of bullying and gave advice on how to deal with challenging bullying situations. The Principal, Ms Semee Shafqat, asked several questions about the actions to be taken in case they face bullying and how to report it. She was pleased to see the awareness amongst the students. The assembly ended with the national anthem. Parents shared their feedback and were delighted to see their children on the stage. Well done 2 Blue!

Appreciating and rewarding is a great approach to celebrate hard work and success especially in a student's school life. Even the slightest recognition works as a great motivation for the students and encourages them to work even harder. Recognizing students with awards and certificates make them and their work stand out which again motivates them and attracts other students to work harder.

Competitions are a good motivating tool for independent work and in-depth study of mathematics on the part of students. The Round 1 of Mathematika was held on January 19, 2023. Initially, all students participated in the competition. The top three students from each section will qualify for Round 2. Students enthusiastically took part in this Mental Math based activity.

BVTL Business students secured 1st Position in "Elevator Pitch” category in “Sao Paulo” segment at "I-Cubed", an inter school competition held at Froebels Lake City. Participants included Ziad Mudasser, Shams-ur-Rehman, Sadia Saeed, Yumna Arsh, Mahdiya Javed, and Abdul Mutaal (IXC Red) Thanks is due to their Business teacher Ms Aksa Kanwal for her guidance and support. Speech Competition is a good way to develop student's confidence and communication skills during the early years. Keeping this in view, the First Round of the English Speech Contest was organized for the students of Class Nursery on 16th January 2023. 14 students qualified for the final round which was held on January 20, 2023. The event started with a welcome speech by the Principal, Ms Semee Shafqat Qureshi. Parents of the finalists were also invited to witness their child's performance. They were enthralled by the speeches delivered by little orators. The jury members included Mr Usman Niazi, Ms Kiran Imran and Ms Zaib un Nisa. Speakers/ Orators were observed on the relevance, clarity, expression, body language, confidence and timely completion of the speech. All participants were awarded participation certificates and winners received cups as souvenirs.
You all did amazing work and we could see our future confident speakers and leaders in you! Bravo!

Cambridge Assessment International Education organised an event recently to celebrate the collaboration between Cambridge Assessment International Education and Beaconhouse on professional development endeavours, and to recognise the hard work of Cambridge Programme Leaders and mentors from Beaconhouse. The event also celebrated the long association of Beaconhouse Schools with the Cambridge Professional Development Qualifications (PDQs).

Beaconhouse was the first school system in Pakistan to launch the Cambridge PDQs certificate and diploma in 2008 with more than 500 teachers graduating in Cambridge across their three regional centres since then. Cambridge PDQ Programme Leaders and mentors received joint certificates of appreciation from Cambridge International and Beaconhouse management to acknowledge their hard work. The event was attended by senior management of Beaconhouse and Cambridge International.
