We’re thrilled to announce that Industrial Ecology: A Fusion of Material and Energy in a Green Supply Chain Context by Dr. Adeel Shah has been officially added to the TIP Library!

Dr. Shah, a proud alumnus from the 2003 batch and Head of Logistics & Supply Chain at IOBM, explores sustainable supply chains with a focus on the textile and apparel industries. His book provides valuable insights into reducing waste, optimizing energy, and lowering carbon footprints in the fashion sector—paving the way for a greener future.

Presented alongside TIP President Dr. Zubair Bandukda, this milestone reflects our shared commitment to sustainability in academia and industry.

Students from the Textile Design and Technology 3rd semester had an enriching experience visiting all five venues of the Biennale Karachi 2024. This educational trip offered them a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in contemporary art while gaining insight into the fusion of textiles and visual arts. Each venue showcased diverse and thought-provoking works, from interactive installations to experimental textile pieces, sparking creativity and inspiring new ideas.

This visit broadened their understanding of art and design and also encouraged them to think critically about the intersection of textile art and design. It was a memorable experience that left a lasting impact, further fueling their passion and imagination as they continue to explore the diverse possibilities within the world of textile design.

Yesterday, we were joined by Mustafa Salim Quettawala on a session about "How to Start Your Business and Sell Online" .

Mustafa graduated from the Textile Institute of Pakistan in 2010 with a degree in Apparel Manufacturing & Merchandising. He began his professional journey at GIA Export Marketing, a textile buying house, but soon pivoted to his true passion: marketing.

His career took him to Lowe & Rauf and later to Gulf News in Dubai, where he honed his skills in performance marketing and analytics. In 2018, Mustafa returned to Pakistan, briefly working with Daraz, before establishing Clickity Corp. Today, his agency collaborates with leading brands such as Broadway Pizza, Drop Coffee, OPTP, All My Tech, Zane, EGO and Nishman Pakistan, helping them achieve measurable success with data-driven marketing solutions.

Currently, he is the Founder of Clickity Corp, a dynamic performance marketing agency specializing in driving results for brands across Pakistan and the UAE. He is also the entrepreneur behind Toolsmart.pk, an e-commerce platform that offers a wide range of tools and equipment for professionals and DIY enthusiasts.
