Stepping Towards an Inclusive and Sustainable Future!

At Markaze Umeed, every step we take is guided by the belief that inclusion is the foundation of a sustainable future. Last year, our dedicated students turned compassion into action by establishing a Sewing Center to empower differently-abled girls and their mothers—helping them gain skills to become independent and valued members of society.

This year, our journey of inclusion continues through the tireless efforts and heartfelt fundraising of our incredible students, we have taken another step forward: custom-designed, supportive shoes have been ordered for the children at Markaze Umeed. Carefully crafted to meet their unique needs, these shoes symbolize more than comfort; they represent dignity, mobility, and equal opportunities.

Saira Iqbal, School Head at BSS North Nazimabad Cambridge Branch, Karachi, shares her insights on the recent masterclass titled, “Unpacking the Climate Crisis”, led by Maaz Tanveer, a graduate of North Nazimabad Cambridge Campus, Karachi, Class of 2011.

This impactful session highlighted the critical issue of climate change, with the alumnus offering valuable insights into sustainability and environmental responsibility. Students gained a deeper understanding of the significance of their actions and were inspired to take purposeful steps toward creating a sustainable future.
