In a blaze of passion and dedication, MANSCI illuminated the stage at RSPC 2024. On April 12, 2024, MCSHS shone brightly at the Regional Schoolโs Press Conference in Talisay City, Cebu. Throughout a week of intense competition, our delegates radiated with their unique brilliance, a testament to their commitment and spirit. This remarkable journey was made possible by the invaluable support of the Mandaue City DepEd officials, led by the visionary SDS Dr. Bianito A. Dagatan, and his esteemed team including ASDS Dr. Danilo G. Gudelosao, CID Chief Dr. Jaime P. Ruelan, SGOD Chief Dr. Adeline C. Luarez, Education Supervisor in Filipino Dr. Ma. Divina M. Flores, and Education Program Supervisor in English Mrs. Jocelyn G. Villamor.
Our deepest gratitude extends to the pillars of our community, Mayor Hon. Jonas C. Cortes, the Mandaue City Council, Education Committee Chairman Hon. Malcolm A. Sanchez, the Local School Board, and all local government units whose support and generosity encouraged and empowered our school's journalists and teacher-coaches.
To the Punong Barangay of Ibabao-Estancia, Hon. Romulo P. Echavez Jr, and to the rest of the barangay personnel, we express our deepest gratitude for your unyielding support. The Department of Education (DepEd) remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering quality, relevant, inclusive, and responsive basic education. This commitment is further strengthened by the present administrationโs Eight-Point Socio-economic Agenda and the MATATAG Education Agenda to produce competent, job-ready, active, and responsible citizens, equipped with essential competencies and skills for lifelong learning.
Catch-up Fridays is a learning mechanism intended to strengthen the foundational, social, and other relevant skills necessary to actualize the intent of the basic education curriculum. This initiative is integral in the National Reading and Mathematics Programs which are critical subprograms of the NLRP stipulated in DO 013, s. 2023.
All Fridays throughout the school year shall be designated as Catch-up Fridays, with a focus on operationalizing the National Reading Program (NRP) during the first half of the day's schedule and on fostering Values, Health, and Peace Education for the second half. Additionally, the Homeroom Guidance Program (HGP) shall also be included in the Catch-up Fridays.

The Department of Education (DepEd) launches the Project entitled DepEd's 236,000
Trees - A Christmas Gift for the Children. This is an initiative that aims to promote
environmental preservation and instill environmental responsibility among Filipino children.
The project will simultaneously plant over 236,000 trees in different parts of the country, with
the participation of DepEd 47,678 public schools. This project serves as a gift from the
Department to ensure a clean and green environment for Filipino children and future
generations.
