Medical Technology Student Council - NU MOA

Pre-Internship Skills Enhancement Program: Preparing NU MOA’s future Medical Technologists for their upcoming clinical exposure and duties.

In alignment with the Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) framework, the School of Allied Health (SAH) Department of Medical Technology successfully conducted an intensive three-day Clinical Laboratory Skills Enhancement program for their internship students. This preparatory program, held from August 5-7, 2024, at the Medical Technology Laboratory Rooms, was designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required for their upcoming clinical exposure and duties.

The initiative reflects the department's commitment to ensuring that students are not only theoretically prepared but also practically competent as they transition into their internship phase. The focused sessions aimed to reinforce critical laboratory skills, enhance procedural proficiency, and instill a deeper understanding of clinical practices, thereby laying a strong foundation for their future professional roles as medical technologists.

The NU MOA's BS Medical Technology Program recently marked a significant milestone with the inaugural White Coat and Pinning Ceremony for its pioneer batch of students. This momentous event symbolizes the transition of these dedicated students from the classroom to the clinical setting, as they prepare to embark on their internship journey this Academic Year 2024-2025.

JUST IN: The National University College of Allied Health achieved a 100% passing rate (26/26 takers passed) in the August 2024 Medical Technologists Licensure Examination.

National Passing Rate is 69.74%.

To all continuing students, please be guided by the following registration schedule for the upcoming academic year and adhere strictly to the assigned dates. Registration of sections will take place in Room 904 from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Registration of section is a must before proceeding to enrollment.

For those unable to attend on the scheduled registration dates, you may have a parent, guardian, or block representative register on your behalf, provided they present an authorization letter and a photocopy of the student’s ID.

𝗗𝟭 - 𝗖𝗣𝗛 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗔𝗣!

Last March 4, 2024, we kicked off the CPH Health Caravan with an incredible Day 1 filled with engaging activities and insightful seminars.

Alongside our health caravan booths, the Medical Student body delved into aspects of physical and mental well-being with seminars entitled: “𝘽𝙖𝙠𝙪𝙣𝙖'𝙮 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙤: 𝙆𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙪𝙜𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙮 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙙𝙤,” an insightful session on the importance of vaccination for guaranteed health, and “𝙀𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙: 𝘾𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚,” a powerful discussion on nurturing mental health and emotional resilience.

Participants engaged in fun activities during the ice breakers, captured memories at the in-house photobooth, and thoroughly enjoyed the insightful discussions on vaccination and mental health.

Alongside our Health Caravan Booths, we delved into the crucial aspects of sexual and reproductive health! Our interactive seminar covered everything from contraception to STIs, providing attendees with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions.

Participants engaged with various activities, and learned in a safe and supportive environment. We broke taboos and empowered ourselves with facts!
