A new species of Homo from the Late Pleistocene of the Philippines Homo luzonensis, a new species of Homo from the Callao Cave in the Philippines from the Late Pleistocene epoch, is described.

Fe del Múndo
(27 Nobyembre 1911–6 Agosto 2011)

Si Fe del Múndo ang tinaguriang “Dakilang Lakambini ng Pedyatriyang Filipino.” Dahil sa kaniyang walang pagod na pagsisikap, naitatag sa bansa ang iba’t ibang institusyon at ospital na nangangalaga sa kalusugan ng mga batàng Filipino. Naging batayang panuntunan rin ang kaniyang mga pag-aaral sa pagpapalaganap ng pag-babakuna sa sanggol upang maiwasan ang mga nakamamatay na sakit. Iginawad sa kaniya ang Pambansang Alagad ng Agham noong 1980.

PUP, top 2 performing school in 2017 Nutrionist-Dietitian Licensure Examination

With 94.20 passing rate, Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Sta Mesa Campus was hailed as the second top performing school for the March 2017 Nutritionist-Dietitian Licensure Examination.

65 of 69 takers passed the licensure examination, surpassing the national passing rate of 72.11 percent.

The results were released on March 20, 2017.
