The FEU Tamaraws Esports faced their first defeat in Valorant with a 0-2 standing against the Adamson Soaring Falcons.
In the first map, Haven, The Tamaraws, who fielded Omen, Skye, Killjoy, Iso, and Neon, started strong by winning the first round, but Adamson quickly dominated the next three rounds, ending the first half with a 4-8 lead.
In the second half, Adamson extended their lead to 9-4 before FEU managed to plant the spike and secure their 5th and 6th points, though Adamson clinched the match point shortly after.
FEU's Lim earned the team's 8th and final point with an impressive ace, but the match concluded with a 13-8 victory for the Falcons.
On the second map of Lotus, FEU's lineup included Breach, Killjoy, Fade, Raze, and Omen. Adamson quickly dominated with a 0-6 score, though FEU's Fade agent managed to secure their first point by eliminating Adamson’s Fade.
Following this, Adamson added another two points, bringing the score to 2-10 by the end of the first half.
FEU started the second half with a brief surge, securing their 3rd point, but Adamson swiftly reached match point with their 11th and 12th points. The game concluded with a 13-3 victory for Adamson.
The Tamaraws will look to bounce back in their next game against Viridis Arcus Esports (DLSU) tomorrow, August 14, at 12pm.

Despite a valiant effort from FEU, they narrowly lost the set with a score of 21-25. Undeterred, the Lady Tamaraws regrouped and bounced back in Set 2, seizing a crucial victory with a score of 25-23. The momentum swung further in FEU's favor in Set 3, as they maintained their composure and executed their game plan effectively, clinching the set 25-20.
However, the match took another turn in Set 4, as their opponents rallied back strongly to claim the set 19-25, leveling the playing field. With everything on the line, both teams entered the decisive fifth set
Despite a hard-fought effort, FEU faced a tough challenge in the final moments, ultimately losing the set 10-15 and the match. Key players such as Ubaldo, Petallo, and Tagaod stepped up admirably for FEU, contributing significantly to their team's efforts.
As they reflect on this hard-fought battle, they carry forward invaluable lessons and experiences that will fuel their future pursuits taking home 60 attacks, 10 blocks, and 4 aces for the Finals Game 2.
Indeed, it was a game well played by the FEU Lady Tamaraws! 🔰

In a hard-fought match, the FEU Lady Tamaraws engaged in a thrilling Finals Game 1, ultimately falling short against their opponents despite their commendable efforts.
The match began with a tightly contested first set, where both teams fought tooth and nail for every point. Despite the initial setback, the FEU Lady Tamaraws showed a spirited performance as they entered the subsequent sets. Chenie Tagaod emerged as a key player, making significant contributions particularly in Set 2, where FEU managed to assert dominance.
With intense back-and-forth action from both teams, the FEU Lady Tamaraws served us with smart and powerful plays for this match despite the struggles. Check out the score stats! 🔥

A hot first set as the veterans from FEU Lady Tamaraws jumpstarted the game. The Lady Tamaraws took an early lead and maintained control throughout the first set.
As they continued dominance, showcasing their strategic gameplay and tough teamwork. They effectively countered CSB’s attempts to mount a comeback, ultimately securing a comfortable win in the second set.

As for the shining MVP of the Match, #15 Gerzel Petallo! Owning 14 points, 9 attacks, 1 block and 4 aces throughout the game. Looking back on their struggles, she was ‘happy and proud’ with how far they’ve come as well as their hardwork as a team.

As both teams intensely compete for a spot in the semifinals, the Lady Tamaraws dominated the first set. Despite the Golden Tigresses owning sets 2 and 3, FEU decided to regroup for the 4th set going on a 7-0 run to force a deciding 5th set! 📣
With this amazing move, FEU took their momentum and built a substantial lead. Indeed, we were all at the edge of our seats as we watched the FEU Lady Tamaraws conduct an impressive net defense.
It was said that she was consistent in providing stellar and quick attacks while guarding the nets heavily as well on the blocks. Bagging 17 points, 11 attacks, 5 blocks and 1 ace, Jean Asis took the title for this match. Jean Asis emphasized that she, along with her team and coaches made sure that they’ll get their game faces on and wear it until the last set.

FEU Lady Tamaraws once again bagging up lucky 25’s against the LPU’s Lady Pirates for the Shakey’s Super League National Invitationals Day 3!
Even when LPU Lady Pirates quickly jumpstarted the game, our Lady Tamaraws quickly bounced back with and Ace from #19 Jean Asis!
From there, FEU’s game play has leveled up their grooves to their match and once again owned all 3 sets. Check out the score stats!

Scoring 18 points, 9 attacks, and 1 ace, #6 Lovely Lopez has been hailed as the MVP of the Match! This rookie has been praised for scoring such veteran numbers all throughout the match.
“Sila (her teammates) po yung nag b-boost sa akin na ilabas ko po yung laro ko, tinutulungan po nila ko kung paano mag enjoy sa court”, Lopez stated as she explained the root of her game confidence.

FEUture is bright for the Tamaraws

The FEU Tamaraws dominated the MAPUA Cardinals at the 2024 ANTA Asiabasket International Championship held at Enderun Colleges in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
In the first quarter, FEU's starting lineup of Pre, Pasaol, Felipe, Daa, and Bautista combined for 26 points, outscoring Mapua's 17. Bautista started the scoring for FEU with his first basket, while Daa added a successful shot and a free throw. Pre contributed back-to-back 2-pointers and a 3-pointer, increasing the pressure on the Cardinals. Pasaol made all his free throws, Felipe sank two impressive 3-pointers, and Konateh nailed crucial free throws in the final 31 seconds, solidifying FEU's lead to 26-17 at the end of the quarter.
After Mapua fouled FEU early on 2nd quarter, Konateh capitalized with two free throws and a 2-point shot. Pasaol and Alforque followed with consecutive 3-pointers, extending FEU's lead. Alforque scored 2 more points after a Mapua attempt, and Felipe added another 3 points later in the quarter. With 2 minutes and 37 seconds left, FEU called a timeout. Pre scored a 3-pointer right after the timeout, and Pasaol finished the quarter with a 2-point shot and a successful free throw. FEU ended the quarter strong, leading 51-32, demonstrating their dominance over Mapua.
In the 3rd quarter, Francis Pre of FEU kicked off the scoring while the intensity of the game escalated, leading to the ejection of a Cardinal player. Pre, along with Bautista and Daa, contributed crucial 3-point shots. Pasaol maintained consistency with successful free throws, and Konateh's solid presence beneath the basket further bolstered FEU's performance, closing the quarter with a commanding 72-46 lead.
Moving into the final quarter, Mapua tightened their defense, causing FEU to start slowly. Pasaol has been fouled and scored 2 points, while Miguel Ona got a great rebound and scores. In the remaining 5 minutes and 27 seconds of the game, the FEU team calls a time out. Alforque added 2 points while Felipe executed a fastbreak resulting into additional 2 points.
The game ended with an 86-69 score in favor of the FEU Tamaraws, with Royce Alforque as player of the game with 19 pts, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Going up the tight defense of the USPF Lady Panthers, the FEU Lady Tamaraws closed the game with a final score of 25-13, 25-15 & 25-17. 🔥
As the three sets finished off with lucky 25’s, the Lady Tamaraws paved their way to their game along with the MVP of the Match, rookie Karyll Miranda!
It was emphasized that Miranda and her “Galawang hindi rookie!”, played the game and blends with her team without hesitation. As she said, “My ates naman po are super welcoming and very approachable naman po, so hindi naman po mahirap mag adjust.”
#11 Miranda confirmed that their seniors and coaches ensured that even rookies entered their match with trust and confidence in their kapwa Lady Tamaraws.
