Congratulations to our very own Ernest John Obiena 蔡華強 (CKS HS Batch 2012) on his remarkable victory at the Asian Games Pole Vault in Hangzhou, China!

EJ has not only secured the gold but also set a new Asian record at 5.9 meters!

This win marks a significant moment in Philippine sports history, as it's the first athletics gold medal in an Asian Games since 1986 by the late Lydia de Vega.

Breaking news!

The Philippines' pride, CKS alumnus Ernest John Obiena (蔡華強), made another historic performance by claiming the pole vault silver medal in the 2023 World Athletics Championships today, August 27 in Budapest, Hungary.

EJ, who is also the first Filipino qualifier to the Paris Olympics next year, matched his own Asian record by clearing 6.00 meters to finish second behind world record holder Armand Duplantis of Sweden.

This jump surpassed his previous performance last year in Oregon, USA where he claimed the bronze medal behind Duplantis and American Chris Nilsen.

It also bolstered his preparations for the Paris Olympics where he is aiming for a podium finish.

Rest in Peace Mr. Ben Ong! Our condolences to the family!

It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Mr. Benjamin Ycasas Ong Kek Hue (王克慧), a beloved member of our CKS family. Mr. Ong, a retired General Services staff, dedicated many years of his life to serving our institution and contributing to its growth. His remarkable contributions as a photographer, capturing countless memorable moments of our school's activities, will forever be cherished.

Mr. Ong's passion for photography brought our community together and allowed us to relive precious memories. His keen eye and skillful lens beautifully documented our achievements, celebrations, and the spirit of togetherness that defines CKS College.

His remains lie at Araneta Paz. Cremation shall be on June 6 (Tuesday), 9AM. A short prayer meeting shall precede the cremation.

Mr. Ben Ong's dedication to CKS College will forever remain etched in our hearts, and his contributions will continue to inspire future generations. May his soul find eternal peace.

With sorrow and heavy heart, CKS College bids farewell to its former Physical Education Department Head, Mrs. Carmelita Pacheco, who passed away today, October 9.

Fondly called Ma'am Pacheco by CKSians, she has served the school for decades, rising from the ranks of a teacher to eventually becoming the head of the said department One of her biggest contribution to the school was her being the founding choreographer of the CKS College Filipino Dance Troupe. It was during her tenure that the group was invited to Shanghai to perform in an international cultural event.
