Celine Mercado, who attends Lyndale Academy, is one of the Finalists of Philippines Young Author Awards 2021. She drew inspiration from her own experience of dealing COVID-19 and wrote “Wrong Number” with the aspiration of giving courage and hope for those who face difficulties. Now that a copy is available in her school, her fellow students will be the first ones to read her story--something that will certainly give them a glimmer of hope and nuggets of wisdom.

Both from Meridian International Learning Experience, siblings Tim and Yana Campos were finalists in last year’s Philippine Young Author Awards. It is indeed great news that their school has received copies of their books. More students will now be able to gain another unique reading experience. Kudos to the Campos siblings and their writing prowess!
Yana Campos wrote “Arrows of the Mind,” which is actually a gift to her future self. While Tim Campos wrote “The Mothership” inspired by his love for sci-fi books, most especially “Dune.”
