HOW TO BE A LET TOPNOCTHER? LET'S HEAR IT FROM COACH AJ, SEPTEMBER 2019 TOP 1 (92.60%).
PREPARATION SA EXAM
I started my intensive review 5 months before the September 2019 LET. Yes, I know that this was not enough to cover everything in the college and I knew that the board exam was a major undertaking, so I took the time to create a study plan that would help me cover all of the material and give myself enough time to practice answering LET-type questions. I collected review materials and bought books and read each book cover to cover. When I had extra time, I also joined LET review drills on Facebook groups and group chats.
But of course, I knew that it was important also to take breaks and avoid burnout while studying for the board exam. I made sure to schedule breaks throughout my study sessions and to take days off when I needed them. I also made sure to engage in activities that you enjoyed outside of studying, such as biking here in our local parks and having time with friends. I also had my review buddies so it was good for me to had fun while reviewing 😅
AFTER EXAM
After the exam, I was so exhausted and I was not feeling well. However, I did not bother myself asking others about the correct answers (lalo lang akong ma-“not feeling well” HAHAHAHHAHA). So, I just offered everything to God and kept on praying for the favor I asked from Him. I was so specific in my prayers with all my intentions why I need to be the Top 1 in the LET Hahahahahaha. (Sabi kasi nila be specific daw sa prayer kung ano rank gusto mo 😅 kaya sinulit ko na yung TOP 1 HAHAHAHAH). So yun, while waiting the results, I applied for a job to make myself busy and at least forget the LET stuff for a while 😂. So sa mga naghihintay ng results diyan, no matter what you choose to do, make sure to take care of yourself and avoid getting too stressed about the results. Remember that the board exam is just one step in your career journey. 😇🫶🏻
RESULTSSSS NA!
Though I was aiming for TOP 1, after the exam, parang hindi talaga kaya si Top 1 kaya I asked God to at least give me the 5th rank or kahit 10th place na lang Lord 😭😭😭 Pero, God gave me what I prayed for. 😭😭🙌🏻🙌🏻 I did not expect na lalabas ang results sa gabi na yun around 6 PM so di ako nag online before 6PM. Nung nag online na ako, my classmates were congratulating each other na. Like “Hala sana all” HAHAHAHA Parang wala pang nag congratulate sa akin 😭 So, I browse the list of passers myself na lang. (Yes, sa passers na lang muna ako nun di sa topnotchers para pag makita ko name ko sa passers at least secured na lisensya HAHAHAHAHA). So, yun na nga. Kinakabahan na ako and I can’t find my name in the list 😭😭😭 Mabagal pa internet that time 😭😭 Not until someone messaged me na “Congrats sir. TOP 1 ka” and I was like 😵🤧🫨 So, I confirmed it. Di ako nakareply agad inuna ko muna tingnan ang list of topnotchers and NAKITA KO NGA NAME KO 😭😭😭 Since ako lang mag-isa that time, I just looked up the sky and talked to God 😭😭😭 Amazing talaga si Lord legit 🙌🏻✨🙏🏻😇
So yun lang po. Nothing is impossible with Him po talaga. I know magkaiba po tayo ng kapalaran pero whatever is given to us, let us always look at the brighter side of the situation. I am sharing this one to you so you would be inspired and motivated to achieve your own LET goals.
