𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐇-𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

Last May 30, the PLM Student Commission on Elections conducted its final electoral event for this year— the 𝗢𝗮𝘁𝗵-𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.
The event marked the official installation of the newly elected student leaders, who solemnly took their oaths of office in the presence of university officials, outgoing officers, and members of the student body. It stood as a celebration of democratic leadership and a peaceful transition of responsibilities within the student government.

Opening remarks were delivered by 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗵 𝗥. 𝗝𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗹, Adviser of the PLM Student Commission on Elections. She expressed her sincere gratitude to the outgoing officers for their dedicated and heartfelt service to the student body. She also extended her congratulations to the incoming officers who solemnly took their oaths of office. Atty. Jabal reminded the new leaders that leadership is a profound responsibility, urging them to foster collaboration with university administrators, faculty, and students in order to build a more active, inclusive, and empowered PLM community.

It was followed by the outgoing speech of Outgoing SSC President, 𝗠𝘅. 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗱, gave a heartfelt outgoing speech reflecting on the challenges and triumphs of her term. She expressed her gratitude to her fellow council members, advisers, and the student body for their support and trust, while encouraging the incoming officers to continue striving for student-centered and transformative leadership.

Outgoing officers were recognized for their dedicated service throughout the past academic year, while the new set of leaders were formally introduced and entrusted with the responsibilities of their respective positions.

The symbolic turnover of responsibilities from outgoing to incoming officers followed — a meaningful gesture that represented not only the change in leadership but also the continuation of a legacy devoted to the service of the PLM community.

𝗠𝘅. 𝗝𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗲𝗹 "𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗻" 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗼, the newly inducted Supreme Student Council President, then delivered her welcoming speech. She laid out her vision for a more engaged, transparent, and inclusive student government, underscoring the need for unity and service. Her inspiring message marked the beginning of a new chapter in student leadership, committed to empowering every PLMayer.

The event concluded with closing remarks from 𝗠𝘅. 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗮, Chairperson of the PLM Student Commission on Elections, who emphasized the vital role of student leaders in fostering a responsive and empowered student body. Mx. Bea expressed his gratitude to the outgoing officers for their service and extended his best wishes to the newly inducted officers as they assume leadership for the academic year 2025–2026.

Excitement continues to build as the PLM Student Commission on Elections prepare for the much-anticipated 𝗢𝗮𝘁𝗵-𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 of various student councils this coming 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟯𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. Final preparations are underway, and the stage is nearly set for this solemn occasion, which will mark the official transition of leadership within the student body.

On May 2, 2025, at the Bukod Tanging Bulwagan (BTB), the PLM Student Commission on Elections formally proclaimed the winners of the Halalan sa Pamantasan 2025. These student leaders, chosen by the PLM community, are now entrusted with the mission of representing their fellow Haribons and advancing meaningful change on campus.

Their victory marks not just the end of an election, but the beginning of a shared journey toward a more empowered and united student body. Congratulations to the newly elected leaders.
