AMENDMENT TO DEPED ORDER NO. 030, S. 2020
(Amendment to DepEd Order No. 007, s. 2020, School Calendar and Activities for School Year 2020-2021)

From March 1 to March 12, 2021, schools shall conduct intervention and remediation activities based on the unique needs of the learners as determined through the results of the different forms of assessments administered for the past two quarters.

From March 15 to March 19, 2021, teachers shall attend a professional development program through an In-Service Training (INSET) organized by the school or other relevant units of DepEd.

The schedule for the succeeding quarters shall be adjusted as follows:

Quarter 3 shall be from March 22, 2021 to May 15, 2021

Quarter 4 shall be from May 17, 2021 to July 10, 2021

The additional two-week period shall be compensated by a similar adjustment in the school break between SY 2020-21 and SY 2021-2022.

FOR: TROPICAL STORM "#PepitoPH" (SAUDEL)
TROPICAL CYCLONE: WARNING
ISSUED AT 5:00 PM, 20 October 2020
(Valid for broadcast until the next bulletin to be issued at 8 PM today)

TROPICAL STORM "PEPITO” SLIGHTLY INTENSIFIES AS IT INCREASES ITS THREAT OVER AURORA PROVINCE.

Track and intensity outlook:
• Track: “PEPITO” is forecast to make landfall over the coast of Aurora between 6:00 and 10:00 PM today. It will then move generally westward while traversing the Luzon landmass, and emerge over the West Philippine Sea tomorrow morning. This tropical cyclone may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Thursday morning or afternoon.
• Intensity: After crossing the landmass of Luzon, “PEPITO” is forecast to intensify and may reach severe tropical storm category by Thursday.

Hazards affecting land areas:
• Rainfall: Today through tomorrow morning, “PEPITO” will bring moderate to heavy rains over Central Luzon, MIMAROPA, Camarines Norte, Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Isabela, mainland Cagayan, La Union, Pangasinan, and Benguet. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Bangsamoro. Flooding (including flash floods) and rain-induced landslides may occur during heavy or prolonged rainfall especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards. PAGASA Regional Services Divisions may issue local thunderstorm/rainfall advisories and heavy rainfall warnings as appropriate.
• Winds: High to gale-force winds will be experienced in areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) #1 and 2. High to gale-force winds with occasional gusts due to the northeasterly surface wind flow will be experienced over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and the coastal and/or mountainous areas of mainland Cagayan, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte.

Hazards affecting coastal waters:
• Gale Warning is in effect over the seaboards of Batanes, Cagayan, and Ilocos Norte and the western seaboards of Batangas and Occidental Mindoro (including Lubang Island) due to rough to very rough seas (2.8 to 5.0 m). Moreover, the seaboards of areas under TCWS #1 and 2 will also experience rough to very rough seas (2.5 to 5.0 m). Sea travel is risky over these areas, especially for those using small seacrafts.
• Moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 3.0 m) will prevail over Palawan and the eastern seaboards of Southern Luzon, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region. Those with small seacrafts are advised to take precautionary measures when venturing out to sea. Inexperienced mariners should avoid navigating in these conditions.

Other disturbance being monitored:
• At 4:00 PM today, the Tropical Depression outside the PAR was estimated based on all available data at 1,750 km East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon (24.6°N, 138.5°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h and gustiness of up to 55 km/h. It is moving northeastward at 15 km/h. This disturbance is less likely to enter the PAR.

Location of eye/center: At 4:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm "PEPITO" was estimated based on all available data including Baler and Daet Doppler Radar at 110 km East of Baler, Aurora (15.8°N, 122.6°E).
Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 90 km/h.
Movement: Moving West Northwestward at 30 km/h.

Mga Practical tips sa pagsagot ng modules:

1.Kung ano yung module na ginagawa mo as of the moment, yun lang po muna ang ilagay sa mesa. Ang iba na module itago muna para hindi ka ma-stress kakatingin sa kanila. 😁

2. Huwag sabay-sabay sagutan lahat ng modules. Kahit self-paced ang pagsagot, mas maganda pa rin po na may schedule ka na sinusunod o checklist ng module na natapos mo na.

3. Sequential o pasunod ang activities sa module. Bago pumunta sa last activity, mas maganda kung naunawaan mo po muna ng maigi ang lesson.

4. Kung hindi mo po nauunawaan ang lesson, huwag mahiyang magtanong sa teacher o kaklase na nakakaunawa na. Kailangan mo talagang mag-exert ng extra effort para mas makaintindi ka. Ito ang dapat na focus sa pag-accomplish sa modules: ANG PAG-INTINDI SA LESSON. Ang mga activities at answer key ay ginawa para matulungan kang mamonitor ang iyong pag-intindi sa lesson.

5. Kung napapagod, magpahinga. Pero be careful po, baka yung pahinga mo, inilaan mo lang sa social media at baka mas mataas pa oras mo sa social media kaysa sa paggawa ng module. Yan tuloy mas napagod ka. Huwag ganun!

6. Hindi mo po kakayanin kung magba-base ka lang sa sarili mong kakayahan. Magdasal at humingi ng wisdom at strength sa Panginoon kung paano mo gagawin ang iyong mga gawain sa isang araw.

TIPS PARA SA MGA MODULAR DISTANCE LEARNERS 😊

1. Magbasa.
Huwag sagot ng sagot mga bata/ feeling bata. Magbasa muna po. HUWAG masyado excited sa mga sasagutan. Hindi paunahan ang labanan dito. ( Hindi kailangang masyadong magmadali.) I-prepare ang sarili para sa mga sasagutan. Diyan kase sa binabasa mo makakuha ng sagot.

2. Magsulat.
Kapag tapos ka na magbasa, isulat mo yung mga importanteng details dun sa binasa mo. Para kapag ibinalik mo yung module, meron ka pa ring notes. May babalikan ka.

Kapag may di ka naintindihan, it's time to ask for help. Kung may internet, pwede kay pareng Google. Kung wala, yung mga andyan sa bahay nyo, tanungin mo. Kung wala ka talagang makuhang sagot, ang best option ay kay Teacher, syempre. Sila ang mas nakaka-alam at mas may accurate na explanation sa mga tanong mo. Wag mahihiya magtanong (kung may RightMed ba neto?)😂 Be polite sa pagtatanong. Hindi yung apurado ka, remember, hindi lang ikaw ang estudyante ng teacher mo. Okay po?

3. Mag-answer.
Ayan. Heto na ang pinakahihintay mo. Pwede ka na mag answer. Pero syempre, hindi naman masama magkamali. Dyan ka kasi matututo. (Relate much? Haha) Wag masyadong ambisyosa/so na kailangan perfect ka sa mga yan. Perfect? Haha. Wag masyadong competitive. Mas importante na may matutunan ka.
At isa pa, ang answer key tinitignan kapag tapos ka na mag answer. Hindi yung habang nag aanswer titignan mo. Sinong niloloko mo po? Aber? Dyan kasi makikita kung may natutunan ka nga ba o wala. Puro check nga yang papel, tapos wala ka naman nagets. USELESS. Kaya be honest para matulungan ka ng teacher mo kung kailangan mo ng tulong.♥️🥰

Most important tip: Magpray bago mag basa/answer ng module. Ask for knowledge, wisdom and guidance kay Papa God. His ways are different from our ways. Mas ok yung gumagawa ka nyan na may peace of mind para chill ka lang. Huwag makikipag unahan sa pag answer. Kapag pagod na, magpahinga rin. Sa school nga may recess (favorite 😊) Hindi yung puro ka rant sa social media na pagod na pagod ka na tapos andami mo palang mga posts at share sa fb pero di ka pa nga nakakaabot ng page 5 sa isang subject mo. 😁😂

To our dear students, ito lang talaga ang tatandaan ninyo. Gawin po ninyo ang mga kailangan ninyong gawin hindi dahil required kayo na gawin ito kundi sa kagustuhan ninyo na matuto. Kung slow ang iyong pag-intindi, wala naman nagsasabi sa iyo na kailangan mong bilisan. Ang importante, na-exert mo lahat ng effort na kaya mong ibigay para maintindihan ang inyong mga lessons. 😊

THE LOW PRESSURE AREA WEST OF ILOCOS SUR HAS DEVELOPED INTO TROPICAL DEPRESSION "NIKA"

Track and intensity outlook:
• Track: Tropical Depression “NIKA” is forecast to move generally west or west-northwestward over the northern portion of the West Philippine Sea tonight through Tuesday evening. It is likely to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between tomorrow morning and afternoon. On the forecast track, “NIKA” will turn more northwestward on Tuesday evening and make landfall over Hainan Province in southern China on Wednesday morning.
• Intensity: “NIKA” developed from the Low Pressure Area at 8:00 PM today. It will continuously intensify over the West Philippine Sea over the next two days. It is forecast to reach tropical storm category within 24 hours and severe tropical storm category by Tuesday evening.

Hazards affecting land:
• Rainfall: Between tonight and tomorrow evening, the combined effects of “NIKA” and the Southwest Monsoon will bring moderate to heavy rains over southern Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, La Union, Pangasinan, Central Luzon, Rizal, and northern Quezon including Polillo Islands. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains will also be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
