A warm welcome to our Junior Marketing Association (DACJMA) officers for the A.Y. 2023-2024, who will serve enthusiastically with commitment and valuable leadership skills that will influence and motivate others towards the development of competitive professionals and achieving excellence at DHVSU Apalit Campus.

𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒆- 𝑻𝑹𝑰𝑽𝑰𝑨! 𝑫𝒊𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕?

Today, thousands of college students specialize in marketing, and many firms rely on marketing professionals to develop and implement their marketing plans.

In our College, the College of Business Studies, the most populated course is the Marketing Management who has approximately 3,000 students.

However, only a century ago, marketing education was in its infancy. Edward David Jones, who went on to become a professor of Political Economy, gave the first marketing class at the University of Michigan in 1902. Moreover, he also published a body of work about marketing and its effects on society—a seminal contribution to the early marketing literature that has gone unnoticed by marketing historians. A constant theme in his writing was the application of social ethics to marketing.

Indeed, marketing courses have come a long way in our society. Remember that we shouldn’t be labeled as “taga-tinda lang” or “taga-benta lang”. Marketing courses thought beyond that connotation and has a deeper sense of responsibility in the business world. So, always remember we have pioneers, like Edward David Jones, to thank for the development and success of marketing education.

The workshop, led by the DHVSU Apalit JMA officers, was tailored for 4th-year BSBA students preparing for their final defense in the Business Research course. The resource speaker, Ma'am Ma. Arvilyn G. Figueroa delivered a valuable discussion on business research, underscoring its significance in the business world.
