We've been holding this off for as long as we possibly could, but unfortunately our clinic prices will increase as of 1 April 2024.

This appears to be the first increase we have had since 2014.

A new price list should be available from our Web site closer to the time.

Thank you for your understanding.

A space in our February 2024 intake of our beauty therapy programme has come free, but you'll need to be in quick to secure it. As our online application portal is down for maintenance, you'll need to download, fill out, and email back our application form here: https://www.nasa.co.nz/downloads/ -form-for-domestic-students (Make sure you include your proof of ID and proof of citizenship / permanent residency.)

This space would be ideal for someone who has a "Yes" Fees Free status and is ready to get their student loan. This intake is amazing, friendly, and welcoming, so for one special person, this space will be ideal. 😊

Our Story

The National School of Aesthetics (NaSA) has trained thousands of beauty therapists, nail technicians, and spa therapists in over 30 years of operation. It remains the oldest beauty therapy training establishment in the South Island. If you're serious about beauty therapy training, then train with NaSA, New Zealand’s oldest, and one of New Zealand's best, NZQA-Registered beauty therapy training organisations.

We receive about 5% of the beauty therapy education funding in New Zealand every year, but the last 2 beauty therapists of the year in New Zealand were our graduates. In the 2017-18 Beauty Therapist of the Year category, 2 out of the 3 finalists were NaSA graduates. Approximately 26% of the finalists, and 40% of the winners, in that same 2017-18 beauty awards ceremony were NaSA graduates. In short, we get a great return from the investment the government makes in us.

Our owners Dr. Noel Turner and Mr. Don Kendall are both fully-qualified beauty therapists who opened the school back in 1985 and continue to work on campus to this day. In 2013, the New Zealand Association of Registered Beauty Therapists awarded Noel and Don the "Contribution to the Industry" award (like a "Lifetime Achievement Award" at the Oscars) for their ""significant contribution to the development of the beauty therapy industry in New Zealand." In 2017, they were added to the New Zealand Beauty Therapy Hall of Fame. Unlike polytechnics, our students are able to see, talk to, interact with, learn from, and discuss relevant topics with our owners.

Over the last 15 years, approximately 93% of our graduates have studied further in the beauty therapy or related industries or have gained employment in the beauty therapy or related industries. Clinics throughout the South Island overwhelmingly prefer our graduates as they tend to have stronger skills and better knowledge.
