Penelope is loving her next lot of educational resources. She loves animals and matching games so lucky us, Helen had the perfect resource! We also got an 'Mm' bag and some wee nursery rhyme readers. Just what I need to entertain Miss P on rainy day.

1.MATHS: Activities and small board games covering numeracy stages 0-5.
2.ALPHABET/BLENDS: Activities involving recognition, writing of alphabet and linking consonant/vowel sounds to letters.
3. ORAL LANGUAGE & SPEECH: Activities in sequencing, cause and effect and thinking skills to assist in developing sp

L96-110: - A series of 15 sets of colourful pictures providing endless possibilities for preschool children in early language development and ESOL students. Concepts involve using questions, reading/listening skills. 1-1 matching, early maths concepts and observational/visual discrimination skills. Extension activities depend on the creative thinking and imagination of the tutor.


FG39/40 - A variety of spelling puzzles.


FG 34 - Winnie the Pooh Box
This contains storybooks, puppets and a memory game


M2a - Goldilocks Seriation: This is primarily a maths resource for developing the concept of seriation from smallest to biggest and recognising, counting and ordering numbers up to 40. It can also be used for developing oral language - retelling a familiar traditional story.


FG51- Animals Around the World: A world map showing a variety of animals and where they live. This resource lends itself to discussion on animal habits and behaviours.


FG53 - A set of 8 large colourful pictures designed to improve observational skills and enhance oral language development.


FG57 - Berenstain Bears: A 63 piece jigsaw puzzle with large pieces and box cover picture for assistance.


FG28 - Jigsaw Puzzle Pack: A selection of 4 different simple jigsaw puzzles with large pieces.


M29 - Feed the Clowns: A game to identify dice patterns to 6.


L127- Wild, weird, whacky. Wonderful Stories: This is a selection of fun children’s picture storybooks.


FG 32 - Hairy Maclary Box: A selection of Hairy Maclary story books and a puzzle.


L121- 124 - Spelling Activities: A variety of picture/word learn to spell activities and puzzles.


L 128 - Traditional Stories: A selection of favourite traditional tales with finger puppets.


FG 52 - Big Top Circus: A two layered wooden puzzle to develop visual skills and fine motor coordination.


FG 61 - Turtle Shells - A fun, first memory game involving matching colours.


AC 4 - Play with the kinetic sand for a great sensory experience. Four colours available with numerous cutters and moulds and a large play tray.


M 29 - Clown Board Game
Play 3 different games - Fish or Snap and a game to develop oral language and visual skills.


L 129 - A selection 0f 14 little stories for toddlers.

FG 11 - Shapes and Sizes
This activity is for recognition of shapes and colours and for sorting shapes into sizes from biggest to smallest. It is also great for fine hand motor co-ordination.


FG 10 - Mosaic Peg Board
This resource develops concepts of 1-1 matching, colour recognition, copying a pattern, creativity in designing a pattern and fine hand motor co-ordination.


FG 9 - Quoits
Have fun shooting a goal with the colourful quoits. Play with a friend, an adult or on your own.


FG 1 - Joke Boxes
Have fun with a friend or adult sharing or reading jokes. Roll the box for the answer. Boxes can also be used for stacking/building or developing concepts of long/short, thick/thin, big/small.


L 55 - This resource is to develop the understanding of opposites. The learner can locate opposites from the picture match it to the words and then find the corresponding sentences showing the meaning of the words.


L 10 - On the Farm. This game encourages the learner to use the picture cards to develop use of positional words such as beside, between, around etc


M 67 - The washing line game lends itself to role play while developing the concept of ordinal numbers - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th.


A 35 - The Alphabet Sounds Game helps the learner develop letter recognition and the linking of letter to sound. Instructions explain several ways of playing this game at increasingly harder levels. The easier level is pictured.


L 63 - The Body. This resource can be used for science, health or language and lends itself to numerous inquiry topics about the body at a junior or advanced level. Only a small portion of activities are featured in the photo.


BG 66 - A Christmas Game - This is a fun game that tells the story of Christmas.


L18/L40 - These two spelling resources assist the learner to remember spelling words by two different methods, firstly by visual memory playing the games 'memory' and 'snap' or secondly by hearing and recording sounds.


L6 - Scruffy and the Lost Bone. This is a preposition resource to help develop the concept of the prepositions 'Behind' and 'In Front'


PH21 - This resource involves matching words to pictures, basic sight words, crosswords, word finds, poems and cloze activities to help the learner hear the sound of a blend or digraph to assist in reading and writing.Individual packets for all the blends and digraphs are available.


Over 60 large board games are available covering a wide range of topics such as using and recognising coins, safety, alphabet letters, blends, vowel sounds, addition, making sets and more.
