5th birthdays are always a special occasion at Cuddles ELC. The tamariki are encouraged to select a dress-up day to celebrate their birthday. Today, we had a pyjama day ✨

Our team have such diverse backgrounds, bringing amazing life and ECE experience to the Cuddle's children's learning journeys.

At Cuddles ELC we continue to celebrate the various languages in Aotearoa, New Zealand through our inclusive curriculum. This week is New Zealand Sign Language Week and the tamariki are eager to show their language skills through this literacy activity.

Anzac is a day of reflection as we reflect on the past and the sacrifices made by New Zealanders and Australians so we could have a safe future. In the Cuddles room we have been discussing what we love and what we are grateful for, especially our friends and whānau. Have a fantastic long weekend break from the Cuddles family.

Exciting News from Cuddles Early Learning Centre

Cuddles is now under new ownership and management — and while there are new faces leading the way, our heart remains the same.

Cuddles will always be a place where mindfulness is nurtured, and where every child is truly cared for, supported, and loved.

We’re here to give your little ones the very best start, and we’re committed to being a centre the whole community can be proud of.

Thank you for all the support you’ve shown us over the years. We’re excited for this new chapter and hope you’ll continue to walk alongside us into the future.

At Cuddles Early Learning Centre, tamariki are encouraged to become active members of their community. Excursions to the local supermarket, park and primary school not only enhance their self-empowerment but also their sense of belonging within their immediate and wider society. They become increasingly confident with road safety whilst also finding a passion for learning about the world around them. Our Cuddles room (preschool) tamariki recently went on an excursion to Avonhead Mall where El Gregoe provided magical entertainment and learning. The tamariki were intrigued by the magic taking place, the storytelling and the incredible birds. An excursion full of exciting, life-long memories.

Throughout April the Cuddles tamariki have participated in a range of Easter celebrations. Their creativity shined as they expressed their thoughts and ideas through painting, sticker activities and more! To complete the Easter celebration the tamariki participated in an egg hunt. They showed outstanding kindness and tuakana-teina as they ensured everyone had an egg and they shared in the joy of opening them together.
We wish all of our Cuddles whānau a wonderful and safe Easter!

We are excited to share our Easter Raffle! With over $50 worth of Easter Gooodies as well as tickets for MoveX Christchurch and Laser Strike (the perfect places to head to in this colder weather!)

Cuddles is raising funds to help an amazing community group - Martha's Mob, who come under the Wai-Ora Trust.
Martha's Mob support when people are struggling, whether it be with meals or physical tasks, there's no limit to the scope of works they will try to help with.
