IN PHOTOS | Skills That Keep You Safe 🍴🛡️

Last June 4 and 7, the Junior Hoteliers and Restaurateurs Society (JHRS), together with the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, held two events for first-year Hospitality Management students.

Alongside the workshop, students also joined the Level 2: Basic Food Safety for Food Handlers Training, which taught them about hygiene, contamination, and sanitation. Each session ended with a certification exam.

Through these activities, our future hoteliers gained important skills that will guide them in real-life situations. They are now more prepared and confident to take on their roles in the industry. ✨

June 6, 2025 (Friday) has been declared a regular holiday in observance of Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice.

The holiday was officially declared through Proclamation No. 911, signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on May 21, 2025.

Following the recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), Eid’l Adha will be observed on June 6, 2025 in accordance with the 1446 Hijrah Islamic Lunar Calendar.

Eid’l Adha is considered the second most significant Islamic celebration, commemorating the profound faith and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (Alayhis Salam) to Allah (SWT). It also marks the culmination of the Hajj pilgrimage to Makkah, Saudi Arabia, which is one of the Five Pillars of Islam.

Pursuant to Republic Act No. 9849, the 10th day of Zhul Hijjah, the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar, is recognized as a national holiday to honor this important occasion.
