"According to Psychologists, there are four types of Intelligence:

1) Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
2) Emotional Quotient (EQ)
3) Social Quotient (SQ)
4) Adversity Quotient (AQ)

1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your level of comprehension. You need IQ to solve maths, memorize things, and recall lessons.

2. Emotional Quotient (EQ): this is the measure of your ability to maintain peace with others, keep to time, be responsible, be honest, respect boundaries, be humble, genuine and considerate.

3. Social Quotient (SQ): this is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.

People that have higher EQ and SQ tend to go further in life than those with a high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools capitalize on improving IQ levels while EQ and SQ are played down.

A man of high IQ can end up being employed by a man of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ.

Your EQ represents your Character, while your SQ represents your Charisma. Give in to habits that will improve these three Qs, especially your EQ and SQ.

Now there is a 4th one, a new paradigm:

4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ): The measure of your ability to go through a rough patch in life, and come out of it without losing your mind.

When faced with troubles, AQ determines who will give up, who will abandon their family, and who will consider su***de.

Parents please expose your children to other areas of life than just Academics. They should adore manual labour (never use work as a form of punishment), Sports and Arts.

Develop their IQ, as well as their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently of their parents.

Finally, do not prepare the road for your children. Prepare your children for the road."

I think that there's an urgent need to revive the dying culture of reading among young people.

Reading and extensive study enlightens the mind and helps in expanding your horizon.

It creates a paradigm shift in the way you think, feel and act.

Through reading, you get to know and understand the experience of people, their thoughts and emotion stringed into soul speaking words, including their imaginative prowess.

Reading helps in gaining knowledge, even in research too.

Sadly, reading culture is a dying art, youths are not bothered and some can't even read long posts anymore.

Tell me about 'Mr poster, this post is too long, abeg summarize.'

And I ask, how did we get here?

There is so much work to do to revive this dying art especially among young ones. The need to see reading as fun and as a means of knowledge discovery, more importantly as a means of enlightenment. Light.

So people, what do you think?

What can be done to salvage this problem or challenge as the case may be?

Beautiful evening.

First off, let’s start with his name. As many of you may already know, or at least suspect, Tupac Amaru Shakur was not 2Pac’s birth name. Born Lesane Parish Crooks, June 16, 1971 in East Harlem in New York City, it was a year later, in 1972, that his mother decided to rename him. Why, though? Well, Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur (born Alice Faye Williams), changed her name in reference to her political activism, with Afeni meaning “lover of people” and Shakur being Arabic for “thankful to god”. She was an active member in the Black Panther Party, an anti-fascist, pro-black organisation. Her son was named after José Gabriel Túpac Amaru, leader of “The Túpac Amaru Rebellion”, which was an Inca revival movement that sought to improve the rights of indigenous Peruvians. See the connection? Apparently the name is Inca for “shining serpent”.

2.According to IMDb, 2Pac was offered his first record deal at the age of 13. His mother, however, interfered, insisting her son see more of life and the world before commiting to a contract in the often very harsh music industry.

3.Tupac’s family moved from time to time, resulting in him bascially growing up between cities. Baltimore in Maryland as young teen, Shakur attended the Baltimore School for the Arts, where he studied poetry, jazz, acting, and ballet. He performed in Shakespeare-plays and in the role of the Mouse King in the ballet The Nutcracker. As much as we love the thought of it, it’s, quite frankly, hard for us to imagine 2pac, a man that had “Thug Life” tattooed across his abdomen, being a ballet dancer. But, hey? If it’s possible, it makes this guy even more likeable than before.

4.2Pac’s favorite musician was none other than the also-legendary Prince, who sadly past away just last year. Aside from The Purple One, Shakur also loved (wait for it) Brit Pop. Aside from world-famous bands such as U2, the rapper also counted the more alternative Kate Bush, Culture Club, and Sinéad O’

Overthinking means to think too much about (something): to put too much time into thinking about or analyzing (something) in a way that is more harmful than helpful.

Overthinkers may have trouble distinguishing between the fear of making a mistake, which leads to overthinking to the point where they make no decision, and a deep feeling that something is wrong.

Knowing if fear or intuition is guiding your behavior will help you get out of your head and take the next necessary steps.

▶️Difficulty following along with and contributing to a conversation because you go over potential responses or statements time and again until the conversation has either ended or the window of opportunity for speaking was lost

▶️Continually comparing yourself to the people around you and how you measure up to them

▶️Focusing on worst-case scenarios either involving yourself or the ones you love

▶️Reliving past failures or mistakes over and over again and you're unable to move past them

▶️Worrying about future tasks and/or goals until they feel almost impossible to accomplish

▶️Reliving a past traumatic experience (such as abuse or the loss of a loved one) leaving you unable to cope with it

▶️An inability to slow down the racing of vague thoughts, worries or emotions

➡️Don't think of what can go wrong, but what can go right.

➡️Distract yourself into happiness. Meditate of positive outcome.

➡️Stop waiting for perfection.

➡️Accept your best. Celebrate your little wins

➡️Know you are a work in progress, you are not above making mistake.

➡️Be grateful for what you have as you wait for what you are expecting

Stop overthinking and act now.

Research shows that praise is a very helpful tool in changing a child's undesirable behavior.

Everyone loves the feel good effect praises have on them, and children aren't any different,as such they will most likely repeat the behavior that earned them the praise.

Using praise for this purpose has great benefits if done correctly.
And here are the steps to take:

🎀step1: select the undesirable behavior you want to change in your child,eg always fighting with siblings, not paying attention to school work, disobeying instructions etc(pick one at a time),then state the desired behavior you want the child to imbibe eg, obeying instructions timely.

🎀Step2: talk to your child about your expectations
NB: talk not nag

🎀Step3: be on the look for, catch the child being good.

🎀Step4: Praise the child the child happily or enthusiastically each time you they do the desired behavior.

🎀Step5: specify the behavior you're praising eg, instead of saying oh John you're a good boy, it should be more like, oh! That so wonderful John, you're reading your books without me having to yell at or remind you!!!, Wow!!you actually did as I said without me having to repeat myself several times, that's great son!!!

🎀Step6: then go ahead to perform a nonverbal action ,eg a pat on the back,a hug,a kiss on the cheek, etc

NB: Research shows that step4, step 5 and step6 are actually necessary in locking 🧲 in the desired behavior in the child.

Praise is actually one of the tools used in changing a child's undesirable behavior, and if done correctly, has positive effects.

I must add, you don't have to worry about going through this process for long, because psychology has it that it takes about 21 days to develop new habits for almost everyone,so in about a month the desired behavior should have been locked in,then it's time to move on to another unfavorable behavior to work on using the same tool.

A few days ago,I shared how I made my kids pay with half their pocket money each time they fought or traded insults with themselves from January, and how it worked.

Fast forward to last week,I noticed they began to bless and pray for themselves, especially whenever they noticed me coming around them, hmmmm i was just hearing:
"You're a blessed child"
"You will be rich"
"You will live long"
"You will not die"
"You will have pleeeeenty money"

Hmmmm 🙄,I was suspecting something was cooking, and boy! I was right‼️

They eventually came to negotiate a better idea:
"Mum,if we you have to slash our pocket money by half when we insult ourselves, don't you think it's only fair that you double our pocket money any time we bless and pray for ourselves?"

Mmmm,🙄 (I quickly had to activate mummy sense)yes you're right,we will make it monthly payments, get a jotter, and write our names, starting with my name.
Mmmmm, mummy are you doing too, they asked feeling disappointed.
yes I'm doing, I pray for you both, too don't I? ehen, you have to pay me too, and please put ×2 for midnight🌌 prayers.

But how can you prove to us that you prayed for us in the middle of the night, after all we will be sleeping(one of them proving smart here in his mind).
That one is easy now,I will simply wake you up to pray, and we conclude the prayers together.

Haaaa,😲, mummy,no need,we don't want again,are you sure,yes ma.

So, that's how the proposal for prayer subscription ended.

Me that has been praying for you right from when I knew you were in my womb, come and collect money na 🤣🤣🤣

There's still common sense on earth,no need to go searching in heaven 🤣🤣🤣.

° Africa area = 30,37 million km2
° China area = 9,6 million km2
° US area = 9,8 million km2
° Europa area = 10,18 million km2

● Africa is bigger than all of Europe, China and the United States of America together.

● But on most world maps, Africa is represented in downsize.

This is deliberately done to create the visual effect of a small Africa to manipulate, brainwash, and deceive Africans wherever they are.

- Africa has 60% arable land.

- Africa owns 90% of raw material reserve.

- Africa owns 40% of the global gold reserve.

- Africa, 33% of diamond reserve.

- Africa has 80% of Coltan's global reserve (mineral for telephone and electronics production), mainly in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

- Africa has 60% of global cobalt reserve (mineral for car battery manufacture).

- Africa is rich in oil and natural gas.

- Africa (Namibia) has the world's richest fish coastline.

- Africa is rich in manganese, iron and wood.

- Africa is three times the area of China, three times the area of Europe, three times the United States of America.

- Africa has thirty-half million km2 (30 875 415 km2).

- Africa has 1,3 billion inhabitants (China has 1,4 billion inhabitants in 9,6 million km2).

Which means Africa is SUBPOPULATED.

- The arable lands of the Democratic Republic of Congo are capable of feeding all of Africa.
And all of Africa's arable land is a cord to feed the whole world.

- The Democratic Republic of Congo has important rivers that can illuminate Africa.
The problem is that the CIA, western companies and some African puppets have destabilized DRC for decades.

- Africa is a culturally diverse continent in terms of dance, music, architecture, sculpture, etc.

- Africa accommodates 30.000 medicinal recipes and herbs that the West modifies in its laboratories.

- Africa has a young global population that should reach 2,5 billion by the year 2050.

Why are degree holders poor? 22/02/2022

*Gbenga Adebambo*
The Guardian

BASICALLY, there are seven reasons why degree holders are poor.

Albert Einstein said, “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” Have you ever heard creativity term “Think outside the box”? One of the major reasons why most graduates are poor is simply because they can’t see and think beyond their certificates.
I have seen engineering students work as bankers. I have seen medical doctors with great skills in web and graphic designs. I have seen lawyers that are very dexterous with finances. The list is endless!

The basic truth of life is that the skills that are needed to be much sought after and become more successful in life are not really found within the walls of the classrooms. Your certificate is just a proof that you are teachable, it does not suggest what you are totally capable of doing. You are full of possibilities when you think beyond your degrees and certificates.

I have often advised some of my colleagues, never to leave their gifts dormant while pursuing and hunting for jobs with their certificates. There must be a complementary balance in the pursuit of your passion and in the search for jobs.

Everybody is gifted for something, but the winning edge comes from our ability to work on our gifts and bless the world with it. The very best way to develop yourself is in the direction of your natural talents and interest. In order to live a fulfilled and impactful life, we need to work harder on our gift than our job. We need to discover our gift, develop it, and sell it. Don’t bury your TALENT with your certificates.

It has been found that most of the skills taught in schools are becoming obsolete in the present world. The world has changed a lot, and so are people’s need! It is imperative to know that the present form of university education does not prepare students for the future.

Graduates are becoming endangered species in the face of a changing world. Our archaic methods and approaches of learning are preparing graduates for a world that no longer exist, as we are churning out degree holders every year with certificates that have face value but no intrinsic worth. Most learning institutions are filled up with lecturers and pseudo-educators with lecture notes, methods and approaches that have lost relevance in a changing world.

Certificates and degrees don’t reveal people to themselves; they at most measure our IQ (Intelligent Quotient). I have often tell people that there is no Recovery without Discovery. A poor man is simply someone that has not discovered himself.

The more you discover yourself, the more you realize the treasures that are hidden deep within you. We carry inside ourselves latent treasures that can only be unveiled through self-discovery.

Degrees and certificates can close up your minds to ideas while initiatives open it up. If you are not careful, your degrees and certificates can close up your mind. The purpose of education is to keep your mind perpetually opened towards limitless possibilities!

Fred Smith saw an opportunity for overnight delivery of anything anywhere in the USA, and ultra-fast delivery anywhere in the world, FedEx was born. It will be interesting to know that Fred Smith got a grade “C” in a Yale economics class for an idea that the professor belittled as unworkable.
Fred Smith’s company became the first American business to make over ten billion dollars in annual profit. Beginning with just 186 packages delivered the first night, FedEx now delivers in over two hundred countries using over 6,030 aircraft, 46,000 vehicles and 141,000 employees.

Our certificates and degrees prepare graduates to look for jobs and not open our eyes to life-changing opportunities. You are not poor because you don’t have a job; you are poor because you are not seeing and seizing opportunities.

Being POOR is simply Passing Over Opportunities Repeatedly! What keeps people ahead in life is not their education or degrees, it is simply the opportunity that they seized. Jobs may be scarce but not opportunities.

As long as there is a problem to be solved, there will always be opportunities. It is a waste of our education, exposure, and experiences if after we graduate from school, all we think about is searching for a job. An enlightened and educated mind should be able to see and seize opportunities.

We must be willing to make mistakes and take breakthrough risks. Taking risks and learning from mistakes help us in knowing what works and what does not! When Thomas Edison was being questioned by a mischievous journalist on how he felt for having failed for 999 times before getting the idea of the light bulb, his response stunned the whole world when he confidently said, “I have not failed 999 times, I have only learned 999 ways of how not to make a light bulb”.

Many graduates and degree holders are becoming progressively poor because the skills required in the modern world to get rich are not taught in schools and institutions.

By 2025, we’ll lose over five million jobs to automation. This means that future jobs will look vastly different by the time many people graduate from the university.

*Future jobs will involve KNOWLEDGE PRODUCTION/CREATION* and innovation, and people that are only equipped with skills found in the classroom will definitely be a misfit in an ever-changing world. Skills like critical thinking, creativity, people’s skill, STEM skills (e.g Coding), complex problem-solving skills etc. are central to living a more comprehensive and productive life.

THEREFORE, in conclusion, my humble and candid advice to graduates and students in institutions is to think wide, deep and outside the box. Take voluntary jobs, and don’t be afraid to navigate fields that are different from your field of learning. Your future career will require you to pull information from many different fields to come up with creative solutions to future problems.
Start by reading as much as you can about anything and everything that interests you. Once you get to college, consider double majoring or minoring in completely different fields. Trust me, it’ll pay off in the long run.

Don’t limit yourself to the classroom. Do something practical. Take a leadership position. Start a business and fail; that’s a better entrepreneurship. Contest an election and lose. It will teach you something political science will not teach you. Attend a seminar. Read books outside the scope of your course.

Think less of becoming an excellent student, but think more of becoming an excellent person. Don’t make the classroom your world, but make the world your classroom. Step forward and try something extra.

Invest in something you believe! Real financial security and freedom is not in your job, but in your passion, gifts, talents, and your ability to see and seize opportunities.

Why are degree holders poor? “If somebody offers you an amazing opportunity, but you are not sure you can do it, say yes- then learn how to do it later!”- Richard Branson SCHOOL rewards people for their memory. Life rewards people for their creativity and ability to solve problems. School rewards caution, life rewards darin...
