Solution:
101.011= 1×2²+0×2¹+1×2ⁿ+0×1/2+1×1/2²+1×1/2³

= 1×4+0×2+1×1+0×1/2+1×1/4+1×1/8

= 4+0+1+0+1/4+1/8

= 5+1/4+1/8

= 5 + 3/8

= 5 + 0.375
= 5.375
Therefore, 101.011 in base two is 5.375 in base ten.

When Nelson Mandela was studying law at the University, a white professor, whose last name was Peters, disliked him intensely.
