One of the youthful Mangaliso Nga'ambi who have been in fore front supporting the mission of BM Foundation under youth empowerment has released a hit Gospel song! The song is so touching and meaningful. Mangaliso Nga'ambi is multi talented and humble person. He always seeks advises of how he can progress in whatever he is doing in life. Alembanji Magazine could not afford to leave this person unpublicized. Wishing you well Manga'aliso.

As per BBC and the same problem exist in Nkhota-Kota North and Malawi in general. This has cause negative impact on girls child. Leave apart sanitary pad but even they don't have female teachers in some community day secondary school where female students could express their concerns. #Malawigirlchild #GirlsEmpowerment #malawieducation #malawivoice #zodiak2021 #BBCWorldNews

Today as girls international day and us as the organization which one of our core principle is to empower the girls we still reflected to the challenges that most of girls in the rural areas are facing and will still persue with idea of having Primary school with boarding facilities for girls. It's a long term go but with a time we have hope that it shall come to pass.

This week we had a chance to visit several secondary schools to motivate and encourage the students at Community day Secondary schools in Nkhota Kota North District. On the previous general exams that Banonie Mwale Foundation prepared girls did not perfom well. I had a chance to ask them the challenges that lead them to their poor performance in school. They pointed out several things:

There is no female Teacher at their school hence they lack a mother who can listen to them and understand their feeling.

There is no backets or showers to be used when they are on their period as a result they go home and wait for the whole process to be done then return to school hence missing alot of lessons.

There are no pad to be used.

There is no medicine to be used esspecially to those who are experiencing painful process.

They walk 10 km metres to access Secondary school.

Some of the problems applies to boys as well. Like walk distance walk.

Listen to this form three student at one of Community day Secondary school explaining those challenges written above.

On our last year visit to Malawi(November 2019). We had a talk with Malawi Misinister of Education, science and Technology Dr. William Susuwere Banda.

Here is two key points of what we discussed on our one hour talk.

The government is willing to provide teacher to the school that Banonie Mwale Foundation is building in Likuchi village however he said we need to meet all the requirements.

The requirement are 16 standards pitlatrine (toilets) and Teachers accomodations.

The Minister promised to help us with Custom clearance with the Container that was send from USA, organized by Tempero family. The container has a lot of school items ranging from chairs, books, notepad and etc.

Asking the Minister if they have any budget to assist with such project he said it will take some years for them to help and recommended us for the work we'll done.

After speaking to the Minister, we went to speak to the villagers to inform them of terms and conditions for the school to open. The villagers agreed to take ownership in construction of teachers accomodation and toilets by molding bricks. However they asked the board momembers to assist with bags of cements, Ironsheets for roofing and some small amount of fund for the construction process.

Board members are appealing to those who are willing to join us on this journey to visit our website and know more or become part of us. If you are from USA or UK or South Africa we have a team of people whom you can comminicate with on those are and get more information of how to get involved.

Our website is www.banoniemwalefoundation.org . The contact information is placed there on the website as well.

Thank you.

What should we say to Westford University College team for this great job being done on our behalf ?

12/05/2019

WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THE FOUNDATION?😃😃

The process of Planting of the 860 fruits trees and other 100 trees was so interesting. Of course all trees could not survive, few of them died and we found some replacement. Some of the trees that we planted are Bamboo trees, Bananas, Mibawa trees not forgetting Mango,,Oranges,Tangerine, guavas and avocado trees.

We believe there is no sweet without sweat. The process of taking care of our trees is still on. While still looking for t which fertilizer to apply, this week will be sending some workers to work on removing weeds from our tree farm and this will ensure healthy growth of our trees. By doing so we are preparing for better sustainability of our Foundation.
