Villa College hosted its second all-staff meeting of 2026 today at the QI Campus Hall, bringing the team together to realign on institutional goals and celebrate key achievements. The afternoon commenced with a beautiful Quran recitation by Fathimath Nausheen, followed by an inspiring and insightful Staff Café Talk from Positive Mindset Coach, Lysha Mohamed, who shared valuable strategies on recognizing stress and maintaining a positive mindset to manage it effectively. Reflecting our continued growth, we warmly welcomed the newest members of our team who joined us between March and May 2026.
Vice Rector Dr Ali Najeeb presented on Villa College Values and Strategic Direction, ensuring our team remains focused on our core mission and forward-looking goals. To honor exceptional dedication across our departments, Rector Dr Ahmed Anwar led the announcement of the Employee of the Month Awards for January through April 2026. This was followed by Deputy Vice Rector, Academic and Students, Dr Abdulla Sadig, who oversaw the proud awarding of certificates to Assistant Professors.
We also celebrated the remarkable intellectual contributions driving our academic rigor, as Deputy Vice Rector, Research and Innovation, Dr Mohamed Adil, alongside Deputy Vice Rector, Administration and Finance, Abdul Munnim Mohamed Manik, presented recognition certificates for scholarly publications. Adding to the milestones, Vice Rector Dr Ali Najeeb returned to present the English Language Course Awarding Scholarships.
Demonstrating our commitment to campus safety and community well-being, Senior Human Resource Manager Ali Hamoodh Hassan and Villa College Staff Club (VCSC) President Nashaya Haleem presented the First Aid Training completion certificates. This was followed by an exciting presentation on upcoming activities from VCSC President Nashaya Haleem. After inspiring closing remarks from our Rector, Dr Ahmed Anwar, the successful gathering concluded with a joyful group photo, capturing the shared spirit and unity of our team.
