Thanks so much for supporting ‘’Move a Mile Mauritius ‘’(and Motilakaz).

We are looking for children (and adults) to support Move a Mile Mauritius. The idea is that people move (run, walk, cycle, swim, scoot etc) 1 mile (1.6km) every day during the month of June (30 days = 30 miles in total). Participants collect sponsorship money for this activity, and all proceeds go to Project Motilakaz. Project Motilakaz (which means "my little home" in Creole) is helping a small community in BR facing eviction in September. It is working in partnership with the community to find land and build new homes for them.

Here is how to get involved:

1) Register here:
Move a Mile Registration and Consent form (google.com)

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc5cPstjFi0AZWS4EomeCMGBxMs9FutjkmjL1L95CU5lsjwzA/viewform

2) Collect sponsorship pledges (a form will be sent to you)
3) Spread the word and encourage others to join in
4) Move 30 miles in June
5) Collect the sponsorship money in July and send to the affiliated NGO (Le Pont Du Tamarinier)

See a short video about the project in the post below.

Finally, for those living abroad who would like to make a donation, there is a Crowdfund.mu page.
