Today, as we observe World Schizophrenia Day, Accelerative Resource for Innovative Solutions (ARIS) joins the global community in raising awareness, promoting understanding, and advocating for compassion toward individuals living with schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a complex mental health condition that affects how a person thinks, feels, and perceives reality, yet many individuals living with it continue to face stigma, misunderstanding, and social exclusion. This day reminds us that every person deserves dignity, support, access to quality care, and the opportunity to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
As an organization committed to continuous professional development and capacity-building training programs for healthcare professionals and students, ARIS recognizes the critical role of education in strengthening mental health care delivery. We encourage healthcare workers, students, and communities to deepen their understanding of mental health conditions, foster empathy, and advocate for inclusive, patient-centered care. Together, through knowledge, compassion, and collaboration, we can help break the stigma surrounding schizophrenia and build a more supportive and informed healthcare system.

🩺 WORLD HYPERTENSION DAY 2026
Theme: “Controlling Hypertension Together: Check Your Blood Pressure Regularly, Defeat the Silent Killer.”
Today, ARIS Inc joins the global health community in observing World Hypertension Day — a reminder that high blood pressure remains one of the leading causes of heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, and premature death worldwide.
Hypertension is often called the “silent killer” because many people live with it for years without symptoms. Globally, an estimated 1.4 billion people are living with hypertension, yet only about 1 in 4 have their condition adequately controlled.
In Liberia and across Africa, the burden of hypertension continues to rise due to changing lifestyles, stress, unhealthy diets, physical inactivity, to***co use, and limited access to routine screening. Data from the World Heart Observatory shows hypertension prevalence in Liberia remains alarmingly high, affecting approximately 41.3% of women and 37.4% of men.
Additionally, a WHO Liberia Hypertension Fact Sheet reported that over 31% of Liberia’s adult population was living with hypertension, while many affected individuals were either unaware of their condition or unable to maintain proper control and treatment.
At ARIS Inc, we believe continuous professional development and public health education are essential in strengthening prevention, early detection, and long-term management of non-communicable diseases. We encourage:
✔️ Regular blood pressure checks
✔️ Reduced salt intake
✔️ Healthy eating and exercise
✔️ Avoidance of to***co and harmful alcohol use
✔️ Routine medical follow-up and medication adherence
Healthcare professionals, students, institutions, and communities all have a role to play in reducing the growing burden of hypertension in Liberia.
Know your numbers. Protect your heart. Save lives.

Alert 🚨🚨🚨👇
National Health Alert: Liberia remains vigilant following the Ebola outbreak reported in Eastern DRC. There is currently no confirmed case in Liberia. Citizens are encouraged to remain calm, stay informed, and continue preventive health practices
