Orientation for Kindergarten was originally slated for August 26, 2021. Presently, it is postponed and tentatively scheduled for the following Thursday, September 2, 2021.

We will keep you posted on any new developments as we await information from the Ministry of Education.

Book bursary for collection and drop off for Micoud Primary School is August 13, 2021 from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Parents please ensure that you have your previous contract, book list, report book or sheet and ID card. If you are a new applicant please walk with your ID, report book or sheet and book list. Please ensure that you make it on the day assigned to your child's school. Venue for collection and distribution of books for collection and drop off is the Micoud Secondary School Grounds.

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States OECS is celebrating its 40th anniversary on June 18. For this reason, students are asked to dress in the colours of its flag on Friday. The colours are green, dark blue, yellow and white. Please remember, that students should be appropriately dressed. *No sleeveless clothes, cut-up jeans and leggings are allowed.* Students who are not appropriately dressed will be sent home.

We trust that you and our students are keeping safe and following all health related protocols. Please be reminded that school opens on Monday April 19, 2021 for ALL students of Kindergarten, Grade One, Grade Three, Grade Four, Grade Five and Grade Six.

ONLY students of GRADE TWO ARE ON ROTATION; therefor students of Grade Two in Group A should report for school on Monday April 19, while students of Group B will report on Tuesday April 20, 2021. Students remain in the same groupings as they were in January. Thank you for your co-operation.

Please be informed that the registration period for children entering Kindergarten at the Micoud Primary School in September 2021 begins on Monday, March 15, 2021. Please note that the registration process will be done virtually using the link below.
The following documents MUST be scanned and uploaded into the form.
• The child’s birth certificate.
• Payment Receipt (Please note that registration fees of $60.00 MUST be paid at ANY branch of Mon Repos Eastern Cooperative Credit Union account number 22372). No monies will be collected at the school.

[01/16/21]   Good day Micoud Primary School family, Congratulations to our teachers, janitors, caretakers, cooks, drivers, parents and MOST IMPORTANTLY our STUDENTS. YOU DID IT! We made through our first week of the second term, our transition week into the physical classroom very successfully.
Thank you parents for your cooperation with regards to the protocols for drop off and pick up, as well as providing students with pre-packed water, snacks and lunch. Please make an effort to ENSURE that ALL students have a mask when leaving home as well as an extra CLEAN mask in their bags.

Remember the basic protocols to minimise the spread of the virus.

Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Use alcohol-based hand sanitiser if soap and water is unavailable.
Keep at least 3 feet

Lets give thanks for productive week and look forward to a safe and productive week 2.

[10/27/20]   Good evening parents and guardians. We thank you for your patience with us as we continue to transition into virtual learning. Our teachers are working tirelessly to ensure that ALL students will be catered for through various modalities. Therefore, those of you picking up packages at the school from tomorrow morning, please do so from 9:00 a.m.
ALL Covid 19 protocols are in effect and so you MUST wear a mask to gain entry unto the compound.
ALL hands Must be sanitised upon entry before you access the packages.
Please access your packages based on instructions from your child's teacher and LEAVE the compound immediately thereafter.
Practice Social distancing by keeping 3 feet apart from each person.

[06/29/20]   Good afternoon parents, students and friends. ALL parents of students of Grade One are invited to an EMERGENCY meeting tomorrow Tuesday June 30, 2020 at the school at 4:30 p.m. There are some critical matters to be discussed with regards to your child's education. Please make an extra effort to attend.

[06/13/20]   Good day parents and residents of Micoud and environs. Please note that registration for students who are eligible for kIndergarten in September 2020 resumes on Monday, June 15, 2020 till Tuesday June 30, 2020.

Registration will be held at the school on Mondays to Thursdays from 10:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m.

The process remains the same:

Pay fees, ($150.00) at any branch of the Mon Repos Eastern Cooperative Credit Union.

Take the following documents to the school on the said days and times: Receipt from Credit Union, Child's birth certificate (must have child's name on it), Child's health card and three (3) passport sized photos.

Please note that a RESPONSIBLE adult MUST come in to register the child.

All COVID 19 protocols are in effect. You MUST wear a mask to gain entry unto the school compound.

Please adhere to all sanitising and social distancing protocols currently in effect on the compound.

[04/13/20]   Some highlighted points from the address by the Minister of Education.

-Third term will be done via virtual means and commences on 20th April 2020.

-Protocols for collection of activity sheets for various grades will be given during the week.

-The focus on Teachers being trained during a four day period in the use of digital and virtual technologies.

-75 tablets donated by UNICEF for economically challenged households.

-UNICEF to take on some of the costs of training teachers

-The OECS donated equipment that will facilitate the setting up of five streaming rooms around the island to help stream content to students..

-Digicel donated 75 miFi devices.. 25 given to sir Arthur Lewis community college..

-Teachers and principals at the various schools are in the process of indicating which students who are more in need.. to benefit from the said devices..

-Digicel has committed to training primary school teachers over a four day period in the use of Microsoft teams.

-Flow has granted free access for all students to use FLoW study...

-no new concepts will be introduced for this period. Focus on topics that have been dealt with in previous terms.

-Common entrance exams are currently being revised to ensure it is aligned with the areas of the curriculum taught in grade five and first term of grade six..
Parents won’t have to contend with teaching new topics..

-Parents of children at secondary schools should ensure their child creates a gmail account. Due to the concept that classrooms will be hosted using google classrooms/suites.

-Some form of nutritional support will be provided to underprivileged children who used to be fed at school.

-CXC indicates that all testing will be via digital mode. E-testing mode.

-CSEC/Cape.. government agreed to proceed with option of exams in September to October 2020. Marking of Sba’s between September and November and publication of results in December.

-10 MiFi devices were issued to students inthe south and the remaining to other locations..
each device up to six users can access the internet at one time..

-Students can access content on Sir Arthur Lewis domains free of charge..

-Training for college teachers using web conferring tools. Teaching with moodle platforms..streaming from Facebook..

-More than 80% students are enrolled on the salcc e-learning platform and are engaging with lecturers and faculty.
96% of faculty are using e-e-learning platforms.
84% of salcc courses for semester two are now online.

-NSDC to use ZOOM conferencing...
