Complete the form, have it stamped by your school and send it to the RHU Languages and Humanities Department. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. You will receive a confirmation e-mail when your registration is received. If you do not receive an e-mail by Thursday April 16, 2015, please call RHU Languages and Humanities Department at 05603090 ext. 201. Eligibility:

Zaven hosts RHU’s High School Public Speaking Champions 06/05/2015

Oh what a night! Great job everyone!

Miss Nada El Baba of Rafik Hariri High School took top honors in RHU’s nationwide public speaking contest in both the English and Arabic competition rounds, winning a 50% scholarship to Rafik Hariri University. Zaven hosted the final round on his show, Bala Toul Sire, Tuesday, May 5.

RHU hosts Lebanon’s First National Public Speaking School Competi 23/04/2015

Three high school students were the winners of the first Lebanese National Public Speaking School Competition held at Rafik Hariri University. They are, in order from first to third: Ms. Nada El Baba, Mr. Hadi El Kebbi and Ms. Loujein Aman Eddine. Also in the top six finalists were Aya Bohsali, Munir Sidani and Lama Muhiedli.

Rafik Hariri University hosted the First National Public Speaking School Contest for School Students this Wednesday. April 22. Twenty six high school students from across Lebanon competed for the title of Lebanon’s Public Speaking Champion and the chance to win a 25% scholarship to RHU that lasts through the completion of a bachelor’s degree.


Zaven announced plans to invite top contestants to his show!


We are so proud of every contestant. The level of quality demonstrated was exceptional, as Zaven and Ms Geraldine Gassem, our guest judges, noted. Congratulations to you all!

Tips for tomorrow's competitors:
We are looking forward to welcoming you to the first National Public Speaking School Competition. Here are a few tips and reminders for you:
1. Please come on time. Students will register at 9 a.m. and be seated at 9:20. The competition will begin promptly at 9:30.
2. You will find the speakers names in order in the brochure.
3. When you arrive to campus, please ask for the RHU theater. The security guards and any staff or students will be happy to direct you.
4. Register at the registration table.
5. Turn in a printed copy of your speech at the registration table.
6. You may use note cards if you like.
7. You must not exceed the time limit or your speech will be disqualified.
8. Because of the strong response to the competition, we expect to finish 15 minutes beyond schedule - so around 1:15 p.m.
8. You are already a winner for having the courage to participate and represent your school.

COUNTDOWN 19 days to the competition! Start writing your speech!


The RHU Public Speaking Contest date has been changed to Wednesday, April 22, still at 9 a.m. Celebrity judge Zavan will be with us!

So we can still accept registrations through Wednesday, April 15.

We already have an exciting competition going with many strong contestants from Lebanon's leading high schools! So take advantage of the additional days to practice and give us your best performance!

RHU students - if you have friends or relatives in high school who would like to win a 25% scholarship to RHU for the duration of their undergraduate degree, please tell them about this contest. It is there chance!
