The sun came back out after weeks of rain so we took full advantage of getting out to enjoy the beautiful day. Getting Vitamin D is crucial for us yet many people here in the Cayman Islands are deficient! So this your friendly reminder to enjoy this gorgeous weather this time of year ☀️

Defining success.

Success will mean different things to different people. My client came to me earlier this year and could not squat to a 20inch box. Going to that height meant knee pain for her. Deeper squats hurt. However, she trusted the process and we went to work. Lots and lots of work!

I didn’t quite capture her actual squat depth in this photo (she got lower than this) but it is such a great reminder of how far she has come. You can get better. Trust the process 🙏🏼

Sometimes it’s the simple things that are the most effective. Banded work to stay strong and healthy!

Here we are doing some banded overhead presses to help strengthen his back. My client has had ongoing back issues from an injury about a year ago. It flares up from time to time and knowing what causes those flare ups is key to managing his pain and overall quality of life. After all, we want a great quality of life for as long as possible.

I’m doin a thing!!!! I’m super excited to announce the Move With Purpose Volleyball Academy. I will still be doing personal training but I also want to try to help develop the sport of volleyball here in Cayman.

If you or anyone you know, have kids between the ages 11-14 that are interested in learning more about the sport of volleyball, please let me know.

Starting Sept 2 for 8 weeks I will be running a 90 minute session every Monday at the ARC in Camana Bay from 5:30-7pm.

Super easy dinner I’m gonna share with you! It’s a chicken chili recipe but I leave out the beans ☺️

This is 3 chicken breasts, 3 small sweet potatoes cut in cubes, 2 cups of chicken broth, onion, seasoning (coriander, cumin, salt, oregano, and garlic). Place all in an air fryer and pressure cook for 15 minutes. If you want it more soup-y, add more chicken broth.

I took the chicken out after the 15 mins and shredded it with a hand mixer (second slide). I put that back in the air fryer with the broth and sweet potatoes and mashed it all together (third slide).

You can add whatever veggies or beans you like but we enjoy it just like this. We add a small dollop of sour cream and voila! This is so easy to make and it tastes yummy! It tastes extra yummy with lots of sour cream 🤤 Give it a try if you have an air fryer and lemme know what you think.

Mission accomplished… and this is just the beginning! 😀

My client came to me wanting to lose body fat and gain muscle. She has had hip and knee issues so was a little nervous with certain movements. I took this picture about 2 months into our training together. She couldn’t believe it was actually her - pretty cool.

A few things we did to get her the results she wanted. (So far!)
1) Focus on Weight Training - 3x/week
2) Increased her Protein
3) Eat more throughout the day

She didn’t love a few of the things I recommended BUT she trusted me enough to give it a try and boom! Results started happening. As the saying goes, by changing nothing, nothing changes! She was willing to change up a few things to get those results and because of that, she dropped one full dress size in just 8 weeks and she has also increased her range of motion in her “bad knee” 🥳 She is seeing more muscle, has more energy throughout the day and feels stronger while doing other activities. Our focus now is on keeping that strength and continuing to build her strength. Couldn’t be more proud of her.

Early bird gets the 🐛 so they say…

When you know your day is busy and the only time to get it done is before everything else starts. Making time for yourself can be tough but be realistic with yourself if you want to succeed. Set aside time in your day to make it work. If you don’t, you’ll never get it done. It’s that simple really.

My client has a very long day so he prioritizes getting in his time at 6am. If he doesn’t do it then, it doesn’t get done. He’s gotten much stronger and fitter in such a short amount of time, its really cool to see 😊
