"Breaking the Chains" by reminded us of the fight for freedom from colonialism and slavery in the Cayman Islands and highlighted a heroine, a brave soldier, a fearless woman who played a key role in the realization of this dream, Long Celia.

Today, 5th May, Emancipation Day, we hold Long Celia in our hearts and minds and see her spirit ripple through the nation now. Thank you, ancestor.
