We paid homage to the Orisa, the Goddess, Oya. Orisha of winds, lightening, and storms, but also known as regarded as the diety of children, the mother of 9. She is who we need in this time as she is a symbol of change, transformation, and courage and a fierce protector of women.

"Breaking the Chains" by reminded us of the fight for freedom from colonialism and slavery in the Cayman Islands and highlighted a heroine, a brave soldier, a fearless woman who played a key role in the realization of this dream, Long Celia.
Today, 5th May, Emancipation Day, we hold Long Celia in our hearts and minds and see her spirit ripple through the nation now. Thank you, ancestor.

The Red Boat Experience, brain child of , blends improvisational music centered around the Cayman drum, with the traditional, age-old art of storytelling expertly performed by who told a chilling duppy story. elevated the experience by adding movement inspired by the story.

The journey of the Cayman Islands as a nation, a land, and people has many stories. From colonialism and slavery to freedom and the ongoing development of its unique identity, the people move through the growth and change with grace and pride.
"Serf Enfranchisement," choreographed by Jessica Eden and performed by the , chronicles this tale with care through movement.
We hope to have the national company on our stage to tell more stories in 2025 and be sure to follow their page to catch when next they perform.

Soul stirring, compelling, and a call to action for us to play our part in the journey for freedom of oppressed and disenfranchised peoples through precise and strong movement was delivered in this work titled "Revolution".

honoured the King of Reggae, pioneer, and ancestor Robert Nesta Marley in the ending showcase of CIADC 2024 with an emotional and electric performance titled "Tribute to Bob" choreographed by Dr. Monika Lawrence.
We look forward to seeing more from them on the stage at CIADC 2025!
