Inter-Secondary 5K Walk/Run 🏃‍♀️☀️

What a day! Last Thursday’s Inter-Secondary 5K, hosted by John Gray High School, was 🔥HOT🔥 but even more FUN! From start to finish, the energy, determination, and school spirit were incredible.

🌿🦎 KS3 Iguana Sanctuary Adventure! 🦎🌿
Our students had an amazing time exploring the iguana sanctuary, discovering how these fascinating creatures live in their natural habitats! 🌞🌴

They investigated 🌱 indigenous species, learning how they support healthy ecosystems, and explored 🕸️ food chains and food webs to understand how everything is connected.

We also looked at ⚠️ invasive species and how they can impact native wildlife and habitats — a great real-world lesson in protecting biodiversity! 🌍💚

Our KS3 students explored how microbes are useful to humans by making their own yoghurt using a yoghurt inoculum 🥛🦠

They learned how friendly bacteria help turn milk into yoghurt through fermentation — a real‑life example of microbes at work in our everyday lives! 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬
