Summer Snapshot: A brief literacy snapshot to support your child’s confidence and growth.

Our Summer Snapshot sessions are designed to provide parents with a clear, professional overview of where their child is currently performing in literacy as they finish the school year - or prepare for the next one.

This short assessment offers valuable insight into your child’s current strengths, areas for growth, and recommended next steps, without the need for a full formal assessment.

Perfect for:
Children finishing the school year and transitioning into the next grade
Parents wanting reassurance or guidance over the summer
Children showing mild struggles in reading, spelling, writing, or maths
Incoming Reception/Kindergarten students preparing for school
Families wanting practical summer support ideas from a specialist

What’s Included:
45-minute individual assessment session
Informal screening of age-appropriate literacy and/or numeracy skills
Brief professional observations and recommendations
A concise summary report
Tailored tips and suggestions for summer support at home

Areas may include:

Reading fluency and accuracy
Phonological awareness
Decoding and spelling
Writing skills
Comprehension
Early literacy foundations
School readiness skills (for younger learners)

Ages: 5–9 years

The Summer Snapshot is intended as a brief screening and educational overview. It is not a comprehensive diagnostic assessment, but can help identify whether further support or intervention may be beneficial. We do offer our comprehensive assessment as another service.

• Small group sessions (when appropriate)

• Daily intensive sessions for targeted progress

- Literacy, reading or spelling, following structured intervention programs

- Foundations in literacy (3-5yrs)

- Second language (Spanish, French, Portuguese, English)

Step into the Easter Garden with Baobab Education!

Join us for a special Nature Play Workshop inspired by spring, gardens, and a little bit of Easter magic. Children will explore natural materials, sensory play, and hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and connection with the outdoors.

Following the devastation of Hurricane Melissa, Baobab Education is proud to have donated 100% of proceeds from our Fall Pumpkin Patch Workshop to Jamaican Relief efforts. Our funds have directly helped educational supplies reach children and schools in need.
