I’m writing this to ask you to do one of 5 things:
You see them at the bottom of the post.
This morning I mostly ran…and walked over 11 miles. This was in support of RUN THE WALL, a fundraiser to provide medicine and food for the victims of the g*n*cide on P*l*st*ne. (Hoping to get past the censors!)
Since I’m a slow runner and walker it took me nearly 3 hours.
It may be November, but it’s still hot in the Caribbean sun!!
What kept me moving was the thought of those refugees moving from each refugee camp, carrying what they can, before it gets b*mb*d.
They have to get moving to reach the next refugee camp, and arrive just in time to sit down for a while before being told it is about to be b*mb*d so they need to move again.
So I’m asking you to do one of these 5 things:
Either Donate (link in 1st comment)Share, Comment, Like, or Unfriend me.
If you don’t want to Unfriend me but are not Courageous enough to do one of the other options, then I invite you to get some Courageous Coaching with me. Seriously!
I’m tagging my No 1 hero Dr. Gabor Maté. My body was definitely saying “No” this morning! Thank you for your work on trauma and for Courageously speaking out against the g*n*c*de.
Also thanks to Milly Serpell for joining me for some of the run. Sorry I couldn’t keep up with you!!
Also Viki Holloway-Mills, Diana Boskma HC, Zoe Foster, Sophie Keith please share.

Do you remember a song that said “Money is the root of all evil?”
My father would only drive a Mercedes Benz.
Every morning he would drive me to school. As we passed the villagers who were walking to school, I would sink lower into the back seat of the Mercedes.
I could feel their eyes staring at us. This was one of the many factors that contributed to my unhealthy mindset around money.
My mother’s critical attitude towards money also played a huge part in giving me a deep-seated shame around having it.
I can still hear her voice in my head singing that song….but I'm getting ahead of myself.
Recently I took up Su Doku puzzles. The other day I was frustrated as I was completely stuck on one. I couldn’t see what I was missing.
So I looked online and found some videos on Su Doku techniques. When I went back to that puzzle I was able to complete it with ease.
It reminded me that we can learn anything we want by finding out what techniques to use.
If you are an entrepreneur and you love what you do but don’t enjoy sales, the chances are that you just haven’t learned how to do them yet.
Sales skills can be learned and with practice you will improve.
Then when it feels easier, you probably won’t hate sales so much! Your dislike of sales can be unlearned.
Many heart centred entrepreneurs feel a calling to provide their services, but have trouble charging for them. This is called having an unhealthy money mindset.
In the same way that skills can be learned or unlearned, our old mindsets can be unlearned and new ones put in their place.
When I experienced some hypnosis about my money mindset, I came to some useful insights.
I regularly drive my car to the supermarket to buy food. I am not remotely ashamed of this. It is completely normal.
Neither am I ashamed of buying clothes for myself or my family members.
Nor of going to Jamaica to help look after the residents at Missionaries of the Poor. All of these things require money.
Money is just a tool, similar to a knife and fork for putting food in your mouth. It is not evil in itself. On the contrary, it can be used to create an endless list of good things that are helpful to society.
Money is no more the root of all evil than cutlery is to blame for all gluttony.
And look how pretty our Cayman Islands money is.

You don't need a coach.
Nobody actually needs one. That might be a bit surprising for those of you who know I'm a coach. Hear me out.
Nobody needs a fancy car, like a shiny new BMW i7 or a Lexus ES, but I bet you or someone you know, owns one. What does it give people? It makes them feel good about themselves and it makes them stand out as someone who is successful and significant.
But appearances can be deceiving. Many of the people (not all) who drive fancy cars secretly doubt themselves. I'm often amazed to hear my successful clients say that deep down they feel "Not good enough." The BMW or Lexus is a great way to feel good about yourself while having fun, but coaching is more effective on your inner self.
Coaching can help you feel great about yourself and empower you to be even more successful, while ridding you of that feeling of "not being enough' for ever. You won't need a fancy car - but you can still drive one!
Nobody needs cosmetic botox (unless it's being used for rehabilitation purposes). But it can give people a huge boost of confidence in their appearance, so they can boldly present to an audience and seem young and relevant. And it feels like self care.
But again appearances can be misleading. Hiding behind that perfect face there is often someone who feels insecure about themselves.
Coaching can empower you to feel confident and not care what anybody thinks. You learn to love everything about yourself. The glow you get from coaching is shining out from the authentic version of you.
So no, you don't need a coach to survive. But it can help you in authentic and permanent ways to feel confident, successful and unstoppable. And depending on the coach, it's usually a lot more affordable than a fancy car or Botox.
If I had to choose between a fancy car, regular botox or coaching, I know I would choose coaching every time. How about you?

Do you want to make 1st October a new beginning? It marks the start of the 4th Quarter of the year! If you have failed in reaching your goals like we all have many times, this is your chance to start afresh.
What will you start again?
Is it your business goals? I must admit I recently lost the will to keep my commitment to myself after buying a new laptop, which then wouldn't let me in using my finger ID! I hadn't made a note of my password, as I was intending to always have my finger with me!
Maybe for you it's your fitness goals. I know I am starting my running again, having stopped for a few weeks. This was after I woke up in the middle of night unable to move and in agony. It was quite a frightening experience! Sometimes things happen to put us off, but we need to ignore distractions and get back on the bike, so to speak.
Or perhaps it's a hobby, like playing an instrument. I am starting piano again after spending 2 months in the UK without a functioning keyboard. I failed to find anyone who could fix my one. I wonder if I can remember how to play!
As you can see I have failed in so many ways. And that's ok. That's just how life is. We humans are perfectly imperfect. Practice makes progress, not perfection. We can't turn back the clock, but we can get back to practice.
Oh, and I also let my 189 day streak on Duolingo go. That one was deliberate though, because I want 1st October to be the first day of the rest of my life. And Duolingo keeps a convenient score of days for everything else.
So I invite you to join me. Start up your efforts again, whether in business, fitness, hobbies or relationships. Let me know what you want to start again. I would love to support you in making 1st October a new beginning.

Do you know what the top 3 misconceptions are that people have about coaching?
➡️ It’s talking about problems ❌
➡️ The coach tells them what to do ❌
➡️ They can’t afford it ❌
That’s why I love to ask questions like “What’s going really well for you?” 😍
It’s why I reassure you at the start that I will empower you to choose your own goals 🎯
And it’s why I have an amazing pricing structure that is tailored to suit every budget 🤝

What skill would you like to have one year from today?
One year ago the thought of running a half marathon was the furthest thing from my mind. I had never been a runner at all!!
This year there is an entry on my Google Calendar on the 1st September that says ‘Start training for half marathon.’ And the good news is I have already started running.
Last Saturday I went for a run and it was raining and muddy. On Wednesday I went out at lunch time and it was too hot. It felt hard and I wondered how I would ever manage a half marathon in the Caribbean by December.
But then I remembered that last year I had only thought of doing a half marathon on the 9th September. By coincidence there was a weekly running class starting the next day. I only signed up for the race once I had been running for many weeks. I didn’t know if I could complete the half marathon.
And now I have all the techniques from the class, right from the start of this year’s training. This Saturday I went out for over an hour and it felt doable. I am confident that I can do a half marathon.
It is the same with every skill we want to acquire. All we have to do is learn the techniques, put in the practice and watch our progress over time. We humans are so funny.
Whenever we’ve never done something before we think we can’t do it. We convince ourselves that we lack the talent.
Humans are incredible. Almost as soon as we’re born we start learning our mother tongue. We don’t have the advantage of learning from a text book or being able to use a dictionary. By the age of one we understand everything our parents say to us. And by the time we are two we are completely fluent.
It is the same with walking. Babies have to learn how to walk. At first they need to hold on to furniture and cruise around the room. They fall over a lot. It is true they get frustrated but nobody ever gives up saying “I’m just not good at walking,” unless they have an actual disability.
But then again people with disabilities are sometimes so determined that they end up doing awe inspiring things that other people can’t do such as driving without arms. So that goes to show that we can do anything we set our minds to.
Even highly skilled tasks like driving a manual car to get from A to B without crashing feels hard when we first learn. But once we have learned driving is super easy.
So what skill would you like to start learning today and be competent in one year from now?

You really are braver than you think!
Remember all the things you've been through and survived.
It required courage to deal with them and grow from them.
I am sure you’ve had situations where you needed to step up and take bold actions.
You may have bravely spoken up for yourself in the face of bullying.
Maybe you took on a job that you didn't feel ready to do.
Or perhaps you have moved to a new country or made significant changes in your life.
These things take courage.
In all that you are facing now, you already have what you need inside of you.
You are brave enough, strong enough and have the necessary skills and talents.
And if you would like any support with anything, I would encourage you to reach out and speak with a coach.
Not just any couch - The Courageous Coach!!
It's what I'm here for.
And it may just be what you need to make the changes you long for.

Ladies, if you have been deeply wounded by boys and men, I am here for you.
It is not your fault if you are triggered by a toxic man abusing his position of authority.
It is not your fault if you are triggered when a man jokes about sexual abuse.
You are not the problem. Even if they say you are! Especially when they are gas lighting.
But you will need healing, so that you can learn to love and trust the good men out there who:
- are comfortable in their masculinity to protect you,
- respect women enough to treat you like an equal,
- are healthy enough to have an adult relationship that is playful and joyful.
Let's connect in a confidential and emotionally safe call.
I am offering 4 free coaching calls to the first 5 people to reply.
