Everything is ready for the seventh workshop on 11 December 2024.
The workshop will be held fully on line with many keynote speakers.

In about a week's time, the seventh FRED2 meeting will take place, entitled "Internal controls against fraud: some case studies". It will be fully on-line. We will publish the agenda and the link shortly. Stay tuned!

Everything is ready for the second study visit on 31 October 2024.

We will be hosted in the Commission's prestigious Eurooppasali conference room (Malminkatu 16, Helsinki) in Helsinki.

Andrea Pecorari, Comandante dell'Unità investigativa del Nucleo speciale per la spesa pubblica e la repressione delle frodi comunitarie; Marco Fanti, rappresentante del Servizio di coordinamento antifrode (AFCOS) presso la Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri; Eduard Ivanov, rappresentante dell'International Anti-Corruption Academy; Walter Negrini, Vice Capo del Dipartimento Operazioni Sospette dell'Unità di Informazione Finanziaria della Banca d'Italia - Eurosistema; Francesco Lo Gerfo, esperto nazionale distaccato presso European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF); Antonio Caputo, Professore presso Università degli Studi dell'Aquila.

🎤 L'open floor discussion, gestita dalle Prof.sse Maria Felice Arezzo e Francesca Iandolo, coadiuvate dalle Dott.sse Maria Virginia Sirolli e Eleonora Cova, è stata apprezzata dagli/dalle esperti/e del settore ma anche da studenti e studentesse che si sono cimentat* nella compilazione di alcuni questionari, importante strumento per il team di FRED2 per progettare un percorso formativo innovativo ad hoc e individuare nuove strategie di prevenzione e monitoraggio delle frodi ai danni dell'UE.

🔥 The opening day of the 2nd FRED2 Workshop was a success!
About 120 people attended!

🔝 Various personalities from different educational and professional backgrounds enjoyed the conference.

🎤 The open floor discussion, managed by Prof. Maria Felice Arezzo and Prof. Francesca Iandolo, assisted by Dr. Maria Virginia Sirolli and Dr. Eleonora Cova, was appreciated by the experts in the field but also by students who tried their hand at filling in some questionnaires, an important tool for the FRED2 team to design an innovative ad hoc training course and identify new strategies to prevent and monitor fraud against the EU.

Alex Bazzaro, consigliere comunale di Venezia, Prof. Andrea Rocchi, Project Manager di FRED2 e Presidente di CREA Ricerca, Prof. Fabrizio D'Ascenzo, Commissario Straordinario INAIL, Istituto Nazionale Assicurazione contro gli Infortuni sul Lavoro, il Generale Riccardo Rapanotti e il Prof.Alberto Pastore, Direttore del Dipartimento di management - Università La Sapienza di Roma e Vice Rettore per Vice Rettore per il Placement, Entrepreurship, Fund Raising, Start-up.

The day's proceedings were opened by prestigious personalities including the Honorable Rosanna Conte, member of the European Parliament, Dr. Alex Bazzaro, Venice City Councilor, Prof. Andrea Rocchi, FRED2 Project Manager and President of CREA Ricerca, Prof. Fabrizio D'Ascenzo, Commissario Straordinario INAIL, Istituto Nazionale Assicurazione contro gli Infortuni sul Lavoro, General Riccardo Rapanotti and Prof.Alberto Pastore, Director of the Department of Management - La Sapienza University of Rome and Vice Chancellor for Placement, Entrepreneurship, Fund Raising, Start-up.

Collaboration between academia, institutions, business, and society was the keyword of the speeches. FRED2 stands as a limpid example of the commitment to collaborate and co-produce activities together with the prevention and suppression of phenomena of illicit character.

📌 Il II workshop di FRED2, “Mapping Knowledge in the fight against Fraud”, L'evento, cofinanziato dall' European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), è aperto alla partecipazione di europrogettist* e chiunque sia interessar* al tema della prevenzione delle frodi ai danni dell'UE.

🗓 Partecipa all'evento in presenza a Venezia il 19 presso l'Università Ca'​ Foscari Venezia e il 20 presso il Comando Regionale Veneto della Guardia di Finanza; altrimenti, segui online! Verrà rilasciato un attestato di partecipazione a seguito del compilamento del questionario di gradimento del workshop.

📚 Se sei un* student* del Dipartimento di management - Università La Sapienza di Roma puoi ricevere l'accreditamento di 3 CFU per "Ulteriori attività formative" (0,5 CFU per ogni mezza giornata). Il riconoscimento dei CFU è subordinato alla compilazione del modulo che verrà inviato via e-mail dopo l'evento.

📌 FRED2's II workshop, "Mapping Knowledge in the fight agains t Fraud," The event, co-funded by the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), is open to participation by eurodesigner and anyone interested in the topic of EU fraud prevention.

🗓 Attend the in-person event in Venice on the 19th at Ca' Foscari University Venice and on the 20th at the Veneto Regional Command of the Guardia di Finanza; otherwise, follow online! A certificate of attendance will be issued upon completion of the workshop questionnaire.

📚 If you are a student of the Department of Management - La Sapienza University of Rome you can receive the accreditation of 3 CFUs for "Further Educational Activities" (0.5 CFU for each half day). The recognition of the CFU is subject to filling out the form that will be sent by email after the event.
