Oggi aspettiamo i nostri piccoli studenti per un evento molto speciale!
Ispirato al 50° anniversario dei celebri Bronzi di Riace! Questo primo evento coinvolgerà i bambini attraverso la cosiddetta “Age of Empires”, un viaggio nel tempo attraverso le arti e le scienze di diversi imperi che hanno fatto la storia.
I bambini lavoreranno insieme per realizzare delle statue Greche, costruire delle catapulte come fecero gli ingegneri italiani, esplorare nuove terre come fecero i Vichinghi, decorare lo scudo di un cavaliere inglese medievale ed infine trasformarsi in delle fascinose mummie egizie!

Together Again!
Quando accade qualcosa di meraviglioso, è quasi sempre il risultato di un duro lavoro, che ha un ingrediente magico: la collaborazione.
Cosa c’è stato di così meraviglioso nella nostra 14a conferenza annuale? Innanzitutto, è stato davvero emozionante, dopo tanto tempo, vedere così tanti insegnanti riuniti e motivati da tanta curiosità ed entusiasmo, a condividere momenti di apprendimento e divertimento. È anche grazie alla nostra collaborazione con partner come Cambridge University Press & Assessment, Melaintendo & Mach Power e IH London che il successo di tale evento è stato possibile, e li ringraziamo per averci sostenuto!
Infine, un ringraziamento speciale a tutti Voi per la Vostra partecipazione ed il Vostro interesse ai nostri eventi di formazione. Il Vostro impegno e la Vostra dedizione rendono piacevole tutto il duro lavoro.

It's wonderful to welcome our Director of Innovation Lucie Cotterill to give one of the plenary sessions at this year's 14th Annual ELT Conference.
Lucie has been working at IH British School Reggio Calabria for 20 years, where she has taught a range of ages and levels, both onsite and in state schools. Lucie also works part-time for IH World, as the Director of Studies Coordinator, and for the IH Online Teacher Training Institute, training academic managers on various aspects related to educational leadership.
In her presentation, Lucie will share her experience of working on courses which teach students life and work skills through English and suggest practical, low-preparation ideas for lessons and activities focussing on improving English through themes which are of increasing importance and interest to our students, such as sustainability, social responsibility, and emotional growth.

We are so excited to welcome back Sarah Ellis as one of our Keynote Speaker for the 14th Annual ELT Conference!
Sarah has an extensive background in teaching, teacher training, assessment and exam management. She has trained teachers on CELTA and DELTA courses and is currently is involved in the Cambridge Assessment English teacher support programme.
Sarah’s plenary session will address the vocabulary learners are expected to acquire at levels A2, B1 and B2, and she will also share some activities and digital tools to help learners learn and
expand their vocabulary.

We are delighted to welcome Ben Goldstein as Keynote Speaker for our 14th Annual ELT Conference!
Ben is a teacher, teacher trainer, materials writer and international conference speaker. He has taught English for over twenty-five years in the UK, Spain and Hong Kong.
Ben will be opening this year's conference with a session on mobile pedagogy in ELT today, and he will also be giving a workshop in the afternoon about literary texts.
We're looking forward to it!

La International House World Organisation lo scorso fine settimana, ha tenuto a Roma la Young Learner Conference, in presenza, dopo più di 2 anni. 🇮🇹👩👧
Insegnanti da tutto il mondo si sono riuniti per due giorni di networking , condivisione di idee didattiche innovative per migliorare l’insegnamento della lingua inglese a bambini e adolescenti! 🌎
La nostra direttrice didattica dei Young Learners Jennifer era presente con la nostra direttrice dell'innovazione, Lucie, e dalla nostra insegnante Senior Young Learner, Natalie. Natalie ha dato una presentazione molto apprezzato dal titolo “ lavoro di coppia nelle classi più giovani”.
Complimenti, Natalie 👏🏻🎊👏🏻🎊 per la dedizione al lavoro e allo spirito di miglioramento continuo che è evidente in tutto il nostro staff.

Last weekend was the first Young Learner conference organized by IH World since 2019 and participants from all over the world were welcomed to Rome for two days of networking and sharing innovative teaching ideas, best practices for teaching English to children and teenagers, and some very nice refreshments!
Our YL Director of Studies, Jennifer was present with our Director of Innovation Lucie and our Senior Young Learners teacher Natalie, who delivered a very popular presentation about pairwork in very young learner classes.
Well done, Natalie 👏🏻🎊👏🏻🎊 and here's to dedication to learning and the spirit of continuous improvement that is evident in all of our staff💪
