Essere un nativo inglese non assicura sempre la giusta formazione degli studenti, lo dimostrano i risultati raggiunti a scuola dai pupilli.

Il mito del parlante nativo che in quanto tale sarebbe il miglior insegnante di lingua e "rappresentante" della cultura straniera è ancora largamente presente nell'immaginario collettivo, tanto che è ancora diffusissima la pratica di assumere come insegnanti persone madrelingua prive di qualsiasi formazione nelle lingue e nella didattica.

Il linguista Adrian Holliday ha coniato il termine "native-speakerism" per indicare "a pervasive ideology within English Language Teaching, characterized by the belief that 'native-speaker' teachers represent a 'Western culture' from which spring the ideals both of the English language and of English language teaching methodology" (Holliday 2005).

Il cosiddetto native-speakerism è un fenomeno reale, che ha conseguenze sugli insegnanti non-nativi non solo sul piano psicologico, ma anche sul fronte delle opportunità lavorative, come denuncia questo recente articolo pubblicato sull'English Language Gazette (potete leggerlo anche qui: https://www.elgazette.com/teacher-sues-over-native-speakerism/ )

Uno dei modi è il VOCABULARY DASH: far correre il bambino lontano dallo schermo per cercare la carta che risponde al quesito posto dall'insegnante.

Qui trovate sotto le carte sugli ANIMALI:
✔️per bambini di 8-10 anni,
✔️stampare e ritagliare i fogli i tessere
✔️mescolarle tutte insieme
✔️il bambino porta💥CORRENDO💥 di fronte allo schermo una coppia figura-nome alla volta
✔️l'insegnante annota le parole sbagliate e conteggia quelle giuste trovate nel tempo stabilite.

Per coinvolgere maggiormente l'alunno (❤️❤️❤️i bambini ADORANO scrivere su computer!!!❤️❤️❤️) e ripassare lo SPELLING, su zoom condivido la lavagna, detto e faccio scrivere al bambino le parole che ha sbagliato: segneremo quindi il significato ed il foglio scritto verrà salvato come .pdf ed inviato a fine lezione.

✔ build your own 3D initial with cardboard and plastic glasses (or sponges, see pictures); finish the bone structure with paper and glue

I must admit that my cooking programme and english programme are weaving together.
So... HOW DO YOU LIKE FOOD?

✔️practice this 5 sensorial taste BLIND TEST: put on a cupcake trade various food, blindfold your kid and ask wich taste is it. Say in english. Repeat.
✔️check the food chart; circle the favourite food, say in english. Repeat.
✔️if you want to knead the dough, make your own easy PIZZA with:
500 g wheat
300 g spring water (warm)
3 g beer yeast (melt in the warm water)
12.5 g EVO oil
12.5 g salt
Knead all the ingredients. Allow dough to rise until it doubles the volume (1 hour at least), then put on the cooking tray and allow 30' extra raising. Bake in pre-heat oven at 250°C.
Check the action chart: each cooking phase has to be said in english. Repeat.
