MASTERCLASS | Nicola Scaranaro by Foster + Partners
ROCKWOOL + Manni Group

Design and work with the best

The architect and the designer, how much do they contribute to the wellness of society?
Nicola Scaranaro focused on this topic in the lesson "Ethics and social responsibility: architecture according to Foster + Partners": yesterday afternoon's masterclass was part of the ARCHITECTURE FOR HUMANITY course, the YACademy program that trains designers to make great architecture even in emergency contexts.

Our team was present with Andrea Ferri from who showed the young professionals the countless possible applications of dry technologies, including the Capsule module chosen by Musei Ferrari. The mic was then passed to Daniela Pasquero, International Product Manager of ROCKWOOL, who underlined how the Group's solutions are well integrated with the major trends sought by designers worldwide.

The series of YACademy 2021 masterclasses supported by Manni Group ends with the talk by Nicola Scaranaro: we thank the YAC team for again giving us the opportunity to confront ourselves with the excellent names of contemporary architecture.

Design and work with the best | Nicholas Bewick by Arch Michele De Lucchi srl

A great moment of discussion yesterday afternoon at the YACademy headquarters in Bologna: Nicholas Bewick, the architect of Arch Michele De Lucchi srl reviewed together with the students of ARCHITECTURE FOR EXHIBITION the projects born during the course, a unique opportunity for tomorrow's designers to learn from an exceptional name in architecture.
Our team was present with Cesare Arvetti who introduced the students to the dry systems for ventilated facades by Isopan, while the Export Manager of RENOLIT ALKORPLAN Pau Climent Vicent offered a technical focus about the solutions with high efficiency for roofing.

We thank once again Nicholas Bewick for the stimulating conversation and YACademy, the higher education school linked to YAC that allows us to be at the side of those who shape the architecture of the present and the future.

Design and work with the best | Patrick Lüth from Snøhetta

Tuesday afternoon we had the pleasure of meeting again Patrick Lüth as speaker of the Masterclass of the course ARCHITECTURE FOR EXHIBITION.

The director of the Austrian office in Snøhetta talked to the students about the expansion project of SFMoMa, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the challenge for the Norwegian studio to intervene on an architecture that has already become iconic.

During the technical focus we saw the participation of Luca Micheletti, Technology Coordinator of BASF Italia and Vittorio Marcon International Business Development of Isopan, with a focus on the system for a new way of sustainable building in big cities.

Our team would like to thank YACademy, the school of higher education linked to YAC in Bologna, which once again has given us the opportunity to exchange views with young professionals and giants from the world of architecture.

For the very last lecture of Architecture for Humanity and the 5th Edition of Yacademy, the students of the courses had a possibility to participate in a remote encounter with Mariam Kamara, who joined us directly from New York. Kamara is the founder of atelier masōmī, an architecture and research firm, through which she tackles a wide variety of public, cultural, residential, commercial and urban design projects. Her work is guided by the belief that architects have an important role to play in thinking spaces that have the power to elevate, dignify, and provide a better quality of life. Through her practice, Mariam aims to discover innovative ways of doing so, while maintaining an intimate dialog between architecture, people, and context.
