We celebrated National Science Day 2024 with a 'Research in one minute' competition. Listened stories of lncRNA, miRNA, glycoproteins, and telomerase along with many more research stories of the institute.

Genomics and its applications in disease screening and correction, the role of model organisms like zebrafish to study disease and development were some of the highlights of the event.

Students were also sensitized about Sickle Cell Disease that has a high prevalence in the tribal populations of Chhatisgarh and Madhya Pradesh by Sangam Goswami.

We organized a 30-day advanced training course in “Genomics and Molecular Technologies” for industrial applications from 01st to 30th November 2023 under CSIR integrated skill initiative activities.

The course structure included an end-to-end whole genome sequencing (WGS) workflow inclusive of DNA library preparation to bioinformatics pipelines for delivering high-quality insights on the industrial application of WGS technology.
