The Alagappa Schools had its inception in M.Ct.M. Preparatory school in 1954. Declared open by the then Governor of Madras Shri S. Alagappa Chettiar in 1982.
Prakasa, the school was nurtured by the Asoka Trust under the aegis of Padma Bhushan Dr. RM.
