Machine learning is actively being used today, perhaps in many more places than one would expect.


Kisan Diwas, or National Farmers' Day, is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and farmer leader Chaudhary Charan Singh. The idea behind the celebrating the day is to express our gratitude to farmers who form the backbone of the country's economy.

The Indian government declared 22 December to be National Mathematics Day. T # # by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on 26 February 2012 at Madras University,to mark the 125th birth anniversary of the Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.

Every year on December 20th, International Human Solidarity Day seeks to celebrate the word’s unity in diversity. It’s also a day to raise awareness about the importance of solidarity.

The theme of this year's International Mountain Day (IMD) on 11 December will be sustainable mountain tourism.
Sustainable tourism in mountains can contribute to creating additional and alternative livelihood options and promoting poverty alleviation, social inclusion, as well as landscape and biodiversity conservation. It is a way to preserve the natural, cultural and spiritual heritage, to promote local crafts and high value products, and celebrate many traditional practices such as local festivals.


Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya was the first engineer of India. His birthday, September 15 is celebrated as Engineer’s Day in India every year. He was a Bharat Ratna Awardee and had set up schools & engineering institutions, invented block irrigation, and had built the KRS reservoir.
He is believed to be the greatest Indian civil engineer and was commonly known as Sir MV, after being knighted by the British.

Artificial intelligence (AI) broadly refers to any human-like behaviour displayed by a machine or system. In AI’s most basic form, computers are programmed to “mimic” human behaviour using extensive data from past examples of similar behaviour. This can range from recognising differences between a cat and a bird to performing complex activities in a factory environment.

Indian Space Research Organisation, formed in 1969, superseded the erstwhile INCOSPAR. Vikram Sarabhai, having identified the role and importance of space technology in a Nation's development, provided ISRO the necessary direction to function as an agent of development. ISRO then embarked on its mission to provide the Nation space based services and to develop the technologies to achieve the same independently.
Throughout the years, ISRO has upheld its mission of bringing space to the service of the common man, to the service of the Nation. In the process, it has become one of the six largest space agencies in the world. ISRO maintains one of the largest fleet of communication satellites (INSAT) and remote sensing (IRS) satellites, that cater to the ever growing demand for fast and reliable communication and earth observation respectively

National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928.
For his discovery, Sir C.V. Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.


The development of scientific thought in modern India can be attributed to the scientists
of this period. Towards the second half of the nineteenth century, Sir C.V. Raman
brought about an unprecedented change in Indian scientific thought, Dr. Homi J.
Bhabha, known as the father of our Nuclear Physics, predicted the future of Indian science.
Dr. J.C. Bose, in the field of plant physiology, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, in the field of atomic
energy and industrialization and Dr. Abdul Kalam, in the field of defence technology, brought
about revolutionary changes to reawaken the glory of Modern India

Sushruta: the father of Indian surgery and ophthalmology
Sushruta is the most celebrated physician and surgeon in India. Though he practiced during the 5th century B.C., many of his contributions to medicine and surgery preceded similar discoveries in the Western world.
His ability to manage many common eye conditions of the time with limited diagnostic aids is a testament to his virtuosity.

Over thousands of years, huge literature has been produced in various languages in India. It is to be noted that a large part of Indian literature revolves around devotion, drama, poetry and songs. Sanskrit language dominated the early Indian literary scene.The family is important in Indian literature and drama. Both the Mahabharata and Ramayana—the two most famous works of Indian literature and theater— are family epics, featuring cousins, uncles and aunts “struggling and killing each other over land and dharma and then mourning inconsolably."
